Why The Dog Fan Community Is Upset

Just the other day (yesterday!), I was blissfully enjoying my walk on the Isle of Wight, when I noticed that the lovely background ambience of barking dogs had reused the sound of an Alaskan Malamute instead of authentically recording a Siberian Husky!

Now every time I hear a dog bark on the island, it completely destroys the immersion of me doing something I'm not actually doing.

Fortunately, it's not a total write-off. I can drive the 483 (which covers up the dog sounds) instead of exploring on foot.

 

How about the seagulls? Have they used the sound from a Herring Gull or Common Gull?

 

I don't know. I bought the disc version, but the seagulls on the box haven't made any sounds yet.

 

Well, at least with the disc version you can return it to the shop if those gulls don’t work for you. ;-)

 

How about an Isle of Wight enhancement pack?
Include images and sounds of gulls.
Hampshire in the distance.
Hovercraft.
Stock at Smallbrook (non-moving ofc)
Hot air balloons.

 

Can Siberian Husky bark? IOW, the island of wonders.

 

Armstrong Schnauzerhouse recorded the dog sounds for the TS version of the route. This is just lazy.

 

I didn't hear any dachshunds, too bad :/
