I dont really understand why to pay for TSW3 if we have TSW2? Its only about profit? I mean there is no big changes done yet!

In my view, you actually pay for the new included routes. But unfortunately you can't buy TSW3 Core Game only. That's why we pay for TSW3

What do you mean? 3 is a bigger number than 2. Bigger = better. Imagine how great TSW3000000000 would be.

    It's a new game that's why.

The cheapest option is to buy a single route pack.

Yes many of us feel TSW3 probably started life as an update for TSW2 and should have been funded by DLC, but somewhere along the line a decision was taken to release as a new paid version. Not defending DTG on that but at the end of the day, that's life and they are a business. You have two stark choices - either pay up to get access to the latest version or continue with TSW2 and accept you are running a version which is likely to get very few updates or fixes going forward and no new DLC.

Given the vast improvements present in TSW3, I feel that charging for this upgrade is fully justified -- well, almost, since as I write this the toggle-able Save/Resume feature promised for "next week" (the time here in Tennessee is 12:30 PM on Tuesday of the promised week) has yet to arrive.
Just for the record, I bought the TSW3 Standard Edition package, since I didn't feel up to the complexities of operating a steam locomotive (something i could barely manage in TS).

You get all TSW2 routes in TSW3 - free if you already own them, so really you are paying for the routes, Training Centre, and then the added features are free. In fact, if you already own SEHS or SoS, you get those for free too!

It's really quite simple. If you don't purchase TSW3 at some point, you won't be able to acquire any future routes or dlc's.

  11. If you're happy with the dlc in tsw2 then no point upgrading. If you want future dlc packs then tsw3 is the only way your going to get them.

I don't look at it as a upgrade, what I basically paid for is 2 new routes.

I don't see a big difference between spending 30 or 35 Euros on a new Route or a new Game.

Agree. It's just a semantic difference IMO.
