So, WCML and the new German route got a post release update patch the other day, but nothing for San Bernardino. The ironic thing is that DTG fixed the floating cars in the German route, which is also one of the biggest complaints on San Bernardino, as we see floating cars on either side of the freeway for a quarter of the entire route. US content always gets badly neglected by DTG, so I wonder if San Bernardino is also going to get fixed or just ignored?
I think it’ll get a patch hopefully next week but in my experience it was the least buggy of the 3 so I imagine most dev time will be spent fixing WCML and Frankfurt, particularly WCML as arguably its in the worst state which will mean more updates for it
I’m a US content fan and I honestly am not blaming them for giving some attention to the other 2 routes at the moment. SBD is the strongest out of the gate. It needs some fixes but it’s not on the front burner for some obvious reasons.
And here we are, with a second update and zero US fixes. Not surprised, but it sure does rub me the wrong way.
If you don't believe it needs a patch, try running any freight service to completion. I know it is supposed to be a passenger route.
Maybe. But, given the floating cars and trucks, inoperative grade crossings and other scenery deficits and the historical record with other US routes like Cajon, the question is valid. Forum members and the beta testers can report all the bugs in the world, but if they're not acted on......... ( Is there a reason for the bold, oversized text? )
He just has trouble processing anything that isn't positive. I mean it's not an unreasonable ask from the OP is it? And it's not like he ranted. But of course he's being passive/aggresive!
Only 2 so far I have ran into issues.... The one that's know that has a stop marker out of the map The Kaiser Hauler with improper routing (Completable but annoying) The rest I've tried so far worked fine.
I know it's hardly the end of the world, but it does worry me a bit when locos like the Talent 1442 from Riesa Dresden still doesn't have it working...
I have play almost played the whole weekend jobs on san bernardino freight and more than half are uncompleted due going out of game play area
No - Could not care less if it is positive or not.. just have spent sometime as a Contracting Officer Technical Representative in multiple negotiations and know what works and doesn't work in pointing out technical problems and getting favorable resolution - but by all means if you feel this is the best way to move forward - knock your socks off.
The out-of-bounds stop markers on the freight services are the biggest issues i've seen so far, and really should have been fixed in the first patch. Not totally sure how they made it to release- i guess they're completable by the AI so the timetable simulation didn't flag them immediately? Scenery stuff like the floating cars i get being slightly lower priority.
