This is a suggestion for the heavy rail Wimbledon to West Croydon branch line which (since 2000) is part of Tramlink.
This was a 6 mile line that ran via Mitcham Junction and lasted until 1997.
If the line could be set in 1991, it would be possible to release with the Class 416 2EPB sets as well as the Class 456 2 car units that replaced them with both in NSE livery. Screenshot_20220208-090851_Samsung Internet.jpg

Being a short route with just two types available, should allow for a lower price DLC and could potentially allow for other short route DLCs of low price.
I believe this would be a popular option owing to the fact that the line no longer exists in this form.

Not sure how popular it would be given it's very short and totally A2B. Wouldn't have much replay value...

Fair point. However many short routes just like this have been consigned to history in that they no longer exist. In some cases, some may be old enough to remember them before closure and it might appeal to those people. I personally remember riding this line in my teens. Much missed if vastly under utilised in its final years. I can name various short closed lines in and around London that are deserving of digital recreation for future generations to experience.

If there was a London system to support those short branch lines where the branches would add "a bit more flavour" I might agree, but as a standalone few miles shuttling back and forth (probably at low speed) I would pass
