When I play Cajon Pass when in the ES44C4 after awhile the engineer side windshield wiper quits for no reason. Anyone else experience this??

Yes I’ve had this on many locos quite a few times. ES44C4, F7, Class 45, some others I can’t recall. I have experienced this on both PS4 and PS5 so it isn’t specific to xbox either.

The main issue is that once it happens there is no way to restart it. DTG should make a feature like this able to be restarted by turning it off and back on, kickstarting the animation again, rather than allowing a smallish bug ruin a run.

It’s a random occurrence as far as I can tell and isn’t triggered by any specific actions of the player or anything else in the game, it just simply stops working.

Also on pc. I encountered this with the rabe 523. It seems to be triggered by putting it into high speed for too long according to another thread.

I had the same on the Talent 2 on Koln running them at high speed. Quit half way through the route. Like a blown breaker, but there is no breaker that can be reset.

    Maybe it's a feature, not a bug.
What if you only have a limited number of wipes for the whole run? You have to turn the wiper off to save it for later, making the run much more challenging.

    I'm joking, of course.
Just use the external camera, you can see the track to complete your run. This is what I do with some trains, even if the wiper is working, but it's not cleaning the area I look through.
