Uh, right, so I was doing a normal run from Saltburn to Darlington (2D21) in some Light Rain and as I was stopping at Eaglescliffe, the Wiper stopped without me asking. Now, at first I thought this was some secret control issue (a shortcut from the PC version that doesn’t work, perhaps?) and so once I stopped, I investigated the issue. Then I discovered that the left (and only) wiper switch was still set to Run, so naturally I tried switching to Park and back to Run, same with Stop. But alas this was to no avail, as the Wiper simply would not switch back on. I continued onwards towards Darlington, hoping the Wiper would magically fix itself and come back on, but no. So I ended up driving from Eaglescliffe to Darlington with my head out of the window.
I had this problem with a different train recently (sorry, I can’t remember which). I don’t know the solution but a workaround is to switch to external view and back again and the windscreen magically clears (or at least it did for me).
I have experienced this as well, I may do this if I encounter ‘Faulty Wipers’ again, just so I can still see through the windscreen and dials.
