    Hey!

So happy to have Catan on my Xbox again. I'm not sure if anyone remembers Catan from 2007 on the Xbox 360. Big Huge Games (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catan_(2007_video_game) was the developer and it had some really great features that I hope to see implemented in some way.

After that game was bricked some time ago, I started playing Catan Classic app by United Soft Media and while the game has it's flaws I really enjoyed the Seafarers & City & Knights expansion levels, which add a whole new dynamic to the game. I'm hoping future editions try something similar.

    My wish list includes:

Timer...spent an hour and ten minutes on a game last night.

Improved Dice AI-Lot's of repetitious rolls, for instance: 13/20 rolls for 5's...some games I've seen six 7's in a row, and then repeating several turns later...6 rolls for 2's and 12's in 20 rolls but not a single 8 or 6. Not complaining about repetitive rolls, but mathematically the odds are against this many duplicate rolls.

Dice Roll Statistics...It's always nice to see how the dice fell over a match, and this makes it easier to see perceived discrepancies as well.

Ability to set up 3 person games as well as adjustable points totals (More or less than the standard 10) and other modifications for game set-up would also be nice for players that would prefer a longer or shorter match.

Board Tile Distribution-Some very unusual set up's so far, duplicate grain tiles with the same number and right next to each other. A lot of dead spots on the board that can make some players odds of winning almost zero from the start of the match.

Emote system (Similar to Big Huge Games) I'm not looking to start long conversations but sending out a quick message to players who are not reading the room (asking repeatedly for trades that aren't possible, taking FOREVER, etc. Also, being able to compliment a player on a strong move, thanking players for showing mercy or a helpful trade and so on.

A counter for available development cards would also be nice.

Some sounds could be enhanced as well. A little more noise (chime, buzzer, etc.) when it's my turn would be helpful to know it's one's turn, and a time out and automatic roll if you have dozed off would help speed the matches up.

I'm sure you've already seen some of these suggestions hundreds of times but I just wanted to throw my two cents in. So far I'm impressed with the game overall and I'm excited to see what the future holds!

Curious to know what other electronic versions people have played over the years and their favorite features.

    Nice summary!
I also strongly believe this can become one of the better adaptions of Catan.
My favorite Catan adaption was sea3d / s3dconnector on pc (back in the days)
2nd place indeed Xbox 360 version ,chilling Catan from the couch (I still hear the catchy tune after all these years, tum tum tum , tumtum tum, tumtumtum , tum tum tum )

I have played most computer versions of Catan. The best, by far, is VR Catan. The combination of playing in VR and voice chat makes it feel like the real game. I played on PSVR, but many players use the Meta Quest to play. None of the other PC versions come close to the authentic boardgame feel of VR Catan.
