Running this scenario on approaching Mottram Yard I get a message to check the points are set correctly within Mottram Yard to access Road 3. Done and visually confirmed on the ground and HUD. However the final signal on approach to the yard remains at red and cannot be tabbed past. Only workaround is to go in main menu and temporarily disable SPADs to complete the scenario. And as an aside this is another scenario with absolute rubbish scoring... I was about 10 minutes late passing Woodhead West and got docked over 16,000 points. That is utterly bizarre given you are running a heavy coal train which needs to stop and detach bankers. In addition seems to have been timed at line speed whereas in reality probably running as a Class 7 with top speed 45 MPH. Edit: Even crazier. After saving the game and going to disable SPAD, loaded back into the scenario and the signal now showing a yellow proceed aspect. Suspect this route probably out of support so bugs unlikely to get fixed, but if anyone else runs into this problem and searches for 6M28 hopefully this thread will help.
I'm really puzzled why an experienced TS user and creator like you is still playing the game with the ridiculous Career Scoring active. DTG gave you the choice in the Gameplay settings to play for score or just "doing the job" without a rating. Quick answer: Ignore the Kobayashi Maru points, they are worth nothing, you can judge your driving better than the scoring setup for that scenario. There is no score IRL!!! And no career ladder to climb, in case you were expecting that. No one will ever care for the amount of medals you've collected. You can't even trade them in for something. Concerning the signal, I have some time tonight and will play that one. With Career Scoring UNTICKED! And btw: DTG won't change anything ever in their shipped DLC. There's a bug report window of a few weeks, after an eventual post-release patch the thing is done. Just drive the train, turn off scoring and HUD and feel like it's the real deal. It's the game's job to please you, not the other way around.
My edit crossed with your reply, seems to have fixed itself. Yes I think for my sanity I will just turn the scoring off, so long as route and scenario authors CBA to set the parameters up properly and sensibly…
Fair enough me old chum Just checking, I had completed that one already. (And disabling SPAD does not work for Career scenarios). Anyway, I'm playing that one again.
Yes, fantastic and detailed. Masterkey (who also worked for AP) and Reppo, scripted by Edward Fisk. And don't burn the resistors!
I find the Class 76s are Over scripted - they usually start in the wrong Brake mode and it is fiddly to change it
I like them, cause they made me understand how they really work. And the banking system is great. The old RSC Woodhead 76 you could just put to the max, ignoring Amps. Like the RSC 10x's where you can shift through gears while keeping throttle at 100%.
Yes I fired up a Class 76 scenario on the original Woodhead route and it seems like a totally different loco. I didn’t really play with the banking controls in the “Blue” scenario I did, but seems an early equivalent of the US method of fencing power on the helper locos so they don’t just mirror the power on the lead loco.
