Hi guys I’m new to train sim . I’ve bought ts2021 recently with the wcml south add on. I go into workshop to play a scenario and it said it required the wcml add on which I already have but for some reason it won’t let me play workshop but will however let me play on career. Any help would be greatly appreciated thankyou. ps the 1st photo is on career, the 2nd on workshop
This may be related to a problem that seems to be something to do with the Workshop both in Steam and TS that I think of as phantom dependencies. In a scenario's page in Steam the list of dependencies may have an errant entry- a dependency, usually a route, that the scenario doesn't need at all. If the creator spots the error there'll be a note about it. It may be random but some DLCs do seem to show up more than others. If you try to start that scenario from the Workshop tab it will insist that it can't be done because a dependency is missing. The good news is that TS should start the same scenario without demurral from the Career, Standard or FreeRoam tab (indeed as long as you have the route it is intended you can attempt to start a scenario even if you lack any or all other dependencies). Even better under those tabs scenarios are listed by route and in alphabetical order rather than lumped together on one long list so they're much easier to find too. Frankly until the 2021 version the Workshop tab barely worked and I just find it confusing now- not that it takes much to confuse me.
If I look at a Workshop Scenario I subscribe to it and wait for the Scenario to download. Like JJTimothy I drive the scenario from the Drive section in the game and not the Workshop tab
