Surprised this has not been mentioned on here already. On the steam workshop a fantastic route extension got released about 2 weeks ago to extend the MML to leicester https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3041981673 thanks to the developer heardturkey for creating this it is absoloutly stunning!!!!
Glad you're enjoying it 390001. I did post in the Creation Centre section when I uploaded but probably an area rarely visited. I was starting to think there was no interest.
Friend of mine live streamed it on twitch last night he was praising it constantly and his chat was really active and pleased with it as well

Putting 1 together now that will go on the workshop using default stock with a clone on Train Sim Community using AP add ons. Hopefully others will make scenarios.
Alan Thomson sim would really get the route more attention and scenarios you upload to Alan’s website. And rightly so you deserve all the credit for it.
I seem to have a problem with the ATS site. I tried uploading a scenario before but it never showed.(or at least I couldn't find it) I have an account etc and it all seems to upload ok but then ??? Maybe i'll try again.
I finally worked out how to get a scenario uploaded to ATS and the 1st one is now live.. I have another one that I finished last night and a few other ideas but hopefully others will join in and ease the burden. I can happily spend 4 -5 hours on a half mile section of route but the same time on a 1 hour scenario is a pain.

Yes, a lovely surprise was wanting JT to do this but it seems you have beat them to it! However I have subscribed but it doesn't show in QD or standard? The route folder is sitting in my content folder?

Sorted, as I still suffer from the thumbnail freeze-up problem the route was on a page I couldn't access! Typing in a search eliminated that problem. heardturkey, What a superb job you have done here in this extension, the attention to detail is excellent plus, a wonder these days you have added audio details too which make the route even more immersive, I look forward to version 2 whatever that is! I doff my cap to you, sir.
I'll kill that one straight away Version 1 came about because the route would verify but not upload. I made a clone that i put V1 on the end hoping that would solve it. Eventually I worked out that I had used the JT Common Library and steam did not like it.
It does connect at Leicester. I've got the full MML friom JT so now it's possible to go from St Pancras to Leicester. Change crews. Drive from Leicester to Sheffield or Lincoln or Manchester. If you've only got the Steam Nottm Derby Leicester, it still connects but only to Nottingham or Derby. If you mean around the Corby line, not sure how it would work because the extension would end at Syston Junc ( where the JT route has a stump). So a change of route in the middle of nowhere.
Yeah me too, I was wondering if the route you have extended can be joined to the network as a whole? Yes I know I'm a greedy sausage!
Merging? Above my pay grade. Not sure if even possible though as I'm pretty sure JT are still extending.
Congratulations HeardTurkey - you have created an absolute Gem of a route! (too good for Freeware in my opinion!) From a small boy in the late 70s/early 80's cycling up to Harrowden junction, through my school years standing at Wellingborough Station, then to my late teen's when my first job involved commuting to London from Wellingborough, this part of your route has encaputured all my great memories from the golden days (in my opinion) of the MML! One quick question if I may, Im looking to set up a Quick Drive for the late 80's. I have downloaded all your markers from Goggle Docs and works fine. I have also changed the date and currently setting up AI for the 80's. The only thing Im struggling with is the AI group for the electric trains from Bedford to London. (Due to the page 2 issue I cant see what they are on the AI Spawn markers!). Are they perhaps either Passenger Commuter (as per the DTG original route) or Passenger Regional?
H, glad you're enjoying it. Pretty sure that these are the classes: These I am pretty certain of - Regional, Intercity, Commuter (for the electrics and only on the BPL slow lines), Freight:- Oil,coal,container,gravel but I can't remeber the % showing. From memory the only freight spawner was at Hendon. Cheers Clive
