Switzerland: 1,9km long, 100 carriages...Rhätische Bahn, 14:00 Swiss time! On the UNESCO part of the Albula stretch, crossing the famous Landwasser Viaduct. Railway history in the making! https://www.rhb.ch/en/news-events/official-world-record-attempt If you would like to be live witness of it, have a look at www.blick.ch
Totally pointless whilst maintaining it's impressiveness! Do you know of anyone complaining about 'short' platforms?
Is that really made entirely of 25 four-car trains? Did they use all the ones they had, or why not do that and make it even longer?
So how does this work? Is the lead unit capable of controlling the other 24? Is there a theoretical limit to how many units can be controlled by a single cab? Or are some of the units dead-in-tow and just acting like good old-fashioned rolling stock?
Given it's downhill I suspect it's mostly rolling, I believe there was a driver to every 3 or 4 units
