Can anyone confirm whether the “Taking on the world” Achievement takes into account all locos or one single one?
Is that the 10,000 miles one? If so, it applies across all locos and not just a single type. You can use any combination of locos to achieve it.

It's an awkward achievement to get nowadays because very few route/train distances register onto the total miles driven stat. I've just done a quick tally up of all my miles driven from each individual route it comes to roughly 31,800 (give or take a couple of hundred) but my total miles driven is only showing as 23,300 so over a period of time the defecit can become quite substantial. I've never really fathomed out why DTG can't be bothered fixing it (or are just choosing to ignore it) because it's been mentioned more than enough times now (on PS and Xbox) and it just strikes me as being a relatively straightforward repair job. Congrats on reaching the 10k milestone though...
I think its because it doesn't count the distance you take in training. I know its the same for the gold medals too.
I have also read here in the forum that the game does not measure the distance as long as you drive too fast
Nah, it's just plain broken. I completed a service at HRR and my total miles driven jumped from 23,248.41 miles to 23,248.43 miles. I know it's a short route but i'm suspecting it's a teensy weensy bit longer than 0.2 miles Some do register ok....but the vast majority, erm, don't
