I have been trying to get back into TSW2 and took the 166 out. Had to even do a refresher course, lol. I have got a RD and used to be pleased with it but when starting the 166 tutorial the throttle would not work. 2 re-calibrates later and It seemed to working but then I couldn't hit Throttle step 1 and it was all feeling such a waste of time, it did feel better in a timetable route so not sure if it is the tutorial. Anyway, I turned to my Elite 2 gamepad which I like a lot and love the paddles. I have not played TSW2 with this gamepad or any gamepad really but even though I didn't know how to sound the horn it worked brilliantly. I used the mouse for the master key and lights and half way in of the route I remembered how to switch on the AWS. What I wanted to ask is if anyone else uses the Elite 2 and if they managed to set the paddles up for anything? I think I will cut my loses on the RD and go to the Elite 2. Cheers
I've found virtually all the tutorials have issues with RD support one way or another. Not tried using an Xbox controller
I use the elite 2 on the xbox. I imagine the inputs are the same for PC. The bottom paddles set as the bumpers. For me this feels better when decreasing throttle and brake pressure. The top paddles I use for stick clicks which makes using the horn a little easier for me.
Correct and for the acceleration you control that using the Right Trigger and Bumper Left Trigger Brakes on locomotives. EMU/DMU Right Trigger and Bumper brakes/power throttle. B button Acknowledge PZB/ Alerter. Xbox Elite 2 controller comes standard with the Series X. use the Xbox controller settings for immersion controls. Not recommended for German & Future Austrian routes since you are better off with a Keyboard to get AFB Sifa Lights wipers PZB dedicated buttons
I'd like to do this also. Could you please tell me what you did? Can you get two tone horns on the Elite 2?
