    I recently fixed some issues relating to poor performance and no audio on TSW6 XBOX App version.

    Unfortunately, about 5 minutes later when I relaunched to make sure it was fully fixed, it all went kaput again and I've been living in silence since.

    Using Headphones does work as a workaround but I do prefer to just use my HDMI attached TV Monitor so that I can hear other things surrounding me IRL.

    Currently I have tried re-installing my Audio drivers from 2 different sources (AMD and ASUS). And even a double Clean using a DDU and a re-install. I changed my XBOX app to force my HDMI output. I then obtained sound via a little Microsoft solitaire game. However, if I launch TSW6, I see my Volume Mixer flicker off my HDMI Output right as the game launches, and a few times if I try to access things such as the Output settings. Using the TS Classic logic, because the audio input was technically changed mid-session, although not by me, this takes away any audio even if the correct output is reinstated. Unfortunately for me It takes about 5 minutes to load as far as the DTG intro which is the 1st sound I hear, or usually don't, which makes this a very time consuming issue.

    I have also tried to swap HDMI's, To avoid HDMI routing through a splitter, and neither of these helped anything. The last thing I did before the sound worked was set the default via XBOX app to my HDMI. And without changing anything else it worked for a bit, then stopped again. I'm starting to run out of ideas hence this lengthy post to explain. I've been without TSW since Nov24th now so this is just getting a bit demoralising. I just want to drive a train haha!

    Headset is a Turtle Beach however thats the one that runs fine

    I currently as im typing this have my 1st game launch with sound of the whole day. Im fully expecting the next launch to be dead again but ive been fiddling with troubleshooting and settings all day now.

    Edit 14:12

    Ok so yeah as expected my 2nd launch failed audio. I've narrowed the issue down to when TSW is launched. Its ignoring the XBOX app telling it to use the HDMI. And when opening the Mixer settings I can see the HDMI disappearing and forcing itself to Realtek.

    On the launch with the working audio the HDMI stayed put and did not flicker or disappear.

    Both the taskbar settings and the XBOX App settings tell the game to use HDMI TV Output. Does anyone know how I can stop this game from taking up other audio which isn't wanted or needed?

    Sorry if thats not making sense. Do let me know if you need further explaining

    Edit 14:25

    Further research shows that using the Game Bar tool to monitor output, the setting also flickers on there, it flickers from HDMI to Realtek and back in a split second right as the game launches. This is ignoring all user input settings

    Did you check the headset software? I have a steelseries headset and i have to change the audio out. If that is not working remove this software and check again.

    Hi, I'm confused what you mean? When I turn off my headphones they disconnect and don't show as an audio option. My headphones work just fine.

    I did try to record a clip to show people what happens but the recording software didn't cooperate so that's unavailable

    @jesper2805
    In his first post, dr#8182 wrote that it works with the headset. However, he does not want to wear the headset all the time because he wants to hear the ambient noise in his flat.

    He then clearly wrote that this problem has to do with the HDMI cable or his monitor, and specifically with TSW.
