Hi! I just purchased Game Pass Ultimate to play TSW5 on cloud gaming. From what I’ve read it should have the standard edition on it, but I can only find the starter edition so I cannot play any routes or scenarios. Should the standard edition be available on Xbox cloud gaming or not? Am I doing anything wrong?
It lets you play all the games on Game Pass without having them installed, streaming them via server racks of Series S boards in Microsoft Data Centres, it's available if you have Game Pass Ultimate.
Good question. I don’t have Gamepass Ultimate at the moment but when I used to have it, launching it with TSW4 it would allow me to use all the routes I owned (even the ones that didn’t come with the Gamepass version) so it was tied to the entitlements from the store. I’m pretty sure you should see all the routes. I wonder if there is an extra step you need to do like maybe going to the Xbox store on the app and adding them to your library?
I recently got the TSW5 Free Starter Pack edition but when I purchased a months Ultimate Pass with Cloud Gaming it was showing me as having the Standard Edition so that was exciting to be able to play WCMLS and the other 2 routes, since playing Cloud version I’ve picked up the old Great Western for £4.99 and Sherman Hill is free at the moment so building up a nice wee PC/Console collection for cloud streaming. This helps me as my PC is getting old and struggling a little on the newer routes. I use GFN for most of my Steam library etc but no TSW5 as yet…really wish Dovetail would add it for those with extensive Steam dlc collections and lacklustre or ageing PCs.
It looks like Train Sim World 5 on Xbox Cloud Gaming might only include the Starter Edition, not the full Standard Edition. Some Game Pass games have limited versions on the cloud due to licensing. Double-check the Game Pass library, and if the Standard Edition should be included, try restarting your app or reaching out to Xbox Support for clarification. Hope you get it sorted!
