I just downloaded the XBOX Windows version as I can't play on XBOX until next week. I can play all the scenarios fine by selecting a route and the scenarios. However if I select a route or try to select a train, half of them are missing. For example, I can drive the ICE1 in a scenario, If I go to the train depot, it is nowhere to be seen along with a lot of others. I noticed that journey chapters won't be available, but I was at least expecting to be able to drive all teh trains in timetable mode. Any ideas? Screenshot below :
Yes, then it shows me only the train for that route. So for the German route, only the DB BR 185. All the trains are there, as I can see them in Scenarios, but they are not accessible through the menu. Not the best start. Trying a complete reinstall now as I can’t find a way to manage individual DLC in the Xbox app. It’s going to take a while.
Hi Tigert1966, Could you try the following workaround which was originally posted for Train Sim World 2, please? The Microsoft Store on PC has been known to install your DLC to a different location, compared to your game, which leads to these sorts of problems. How to resolve missing DLC and features on the Microsoft Store (PC) https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com...g-dlc-and-features-on-the-microsoft-store-pc-
Hi, I tried this and now I just get an error - Something went wrong launching your game Error code: (0x8007042b). Now I can't play at all. Note that in following the instructions, there is no browse button at step 5. So I just pasted the pak files straight into the folder at step 6.
I wanted to ditch Steam and be able to play Xbox and PC versions. But seems the XBox PC version doesn’t work at all. This is really annoying. I’ve reinstalled now and am back to being able to play scenarios only. But without timetable mode, it’s not much good. I’ll wait and see I if DTG-Chris comes back with anything else to try and if not will raise a ticket on Monday. Not a good experience so far :-(
Hi Tigert1966, The Microsoft Store isn't the most user-friendly platform, but hopefully we can establish what is going wrong here. Could you use the following instructions to make sure that your game and add-ons are all installed on the same storage drive? Right-click on the Start menu and select App & Features. Locate and click on your game. Click on Move to see where the core game is installed. Then Click on Advanced options Scroll down to the list of App add-ons & downloadable content. Click on an add-on, then Move to see where the add-on is installed.
What can be done to get around this is spawn in on foot and then take over the train - not ideal, but at least you can drive the missing trains.
Hi all, we are extremely sorry about these issues. We have passed this information on to the development team for further investigation. For now, there are a few workarounds you can try to access the content. Scenarios and Training Modules can be accessed by selecting a route first. Timetable Services can be found on foot (albeit not an ideal workaround).
I know what you mean. I’ll need the Steam version anyway as that is the platform where I have most DLC. I am going to raise a ticket though, it needs to be fixed. I specialise in software QA and knowing how hard it is to get any level of test coverage in a complex game, I cut them a lot of slack when it comes to bugs, But the first test should always be ‘Does it install and run’, followed by are ‘Are all expected features present’. In this case it clearly doesn’t pass these tests. So it does raise the question if this was even tested at all on this platform. Anyway it needs to be fixed quickly or a workaround that works needs to be published otherwise Microsoft need to remove the faulty product from the store. I can’t refund this as I need the Xbox version, but it should work for both. DTG-Chris— If you need someone outside of the Dev Team to try anything or need any additional information, then let me know. I’m happy to help.
Tried it with a single DLC (German One). Still not working. Also tried on a different PC with exactly the same results. So still waiting on DTG to come up with something. My laptop has Win 10 and my desktop has Win 11. So it’s not working on either.
In case anyone reads this, I can confirm that this issue is fixed. All my routes and trains are now visible on both PC and XBOX.
