So far we only have 1 Canadian route in TSW and it’s kind of a let down due to its very linear nature and short mainline. Switching can also get boring after doing for a while. Therefore, I believe the Yellowhead Pass would be a perfect candidate for the 2nd entree to the series for several reasons.

this route features the Canadian National mainline crossing of the Rocky Mountains via Yellowhead Pass, from Jasper, Alberta to Valemount, British Columbia, approximately route 80 miles. Although 80 miles might be long, this is still one of my favorite Canadian routes. The Train Simulator version includes CN’s Robson Subdivision west from Red Pass to where it rejoins the Albreda Subdivision at Charles, British Columbia.

My 1st reason for why I suggested it is because of its time period. The TS Classic version takes place in the 80’s when the route had been double tracked for increased traffic. I think if brought into TSW the length and time period would make this route a personal favorite in terms of freight.

My 2nd reason includes new locomotives and rolling stock. I think they should include the GMD GP40-2LW and SD40-2W diesel locomotives.[IMG]
the GP40-2LW releases over 3000 HP and a tractive effort of 61,000 lbf. To me these locomotives are very interesting for there flat nose and bigger cab.

I find the SD40-2W as a very interesting locomotive. The front “porch” as they call it, it is very long and different from other locomotives I’ve seen.

Rolling stock on this route would features a variety of appropriate freight rolling stock, including intermodal equipment, covered hopper, rotary gondola, flatcars, boxcars, tank car, and authentic Canadian National steel caboose as the route is set in the 80s

If DTG were to update the route into a more modern style, I would suggest the SD70Ace with Nose lights, the ES44AC or ET44AC, And the C40-8M

If Dovetail has/could obtain a VIA Rail license, they could add the P42DC or F40PH-2 and have services between Jasper and ValeMount

In conclusion I think the Yellowhead Pass would be a solid 2nd Canadian entree into the TSW series whether set in the past or present. Please feel free to correct me if I have missed or not included anything.

For the modern version, a CN SD75I/SD75ACC rebuild and/or C44-9W(L) could be included or sold as DLCs.
