Built in the late 1840s, the line from York to Bridlington is actually 2 separate routes, the line from York to Hull & the Yorkshire Coast Line up to Scarborough. Also included would be the short branch off to Goole, which adds an extra 7 miles to the route length. As a result, this route would have a length of around 66 miles. The line sees a lot of passenger traffic along it, commonly using IET’s, 185’s, 170’s, 158’s & 155’s. This route would come with
    a Class 155 & 158 as well as a DB & GBRf 66 for freight workings.

    Included Rolling Stock

Introduced in 1987, the majority of the class was broken up in the 1990’s to form the well hated Class 153’s, with only 7 of the units surviving the conversion to operate to Hull.

When the Class 155’s were converted, Class 158’s took over a considerable amount of their previous diagrams to allow the conversions to take place. Nowadays, these units also operate services to Hull due to their not being enough Class 155’s to cover all the services. Class 158’s also operate the services from Hull to Goole. These services are mostly 2 hourly, although on occasion there is an extra service put in which is followed by a 2 hour gap.

Recently, GBRf have began a daily service which runs from Hexthorpe Yard in Doncaster up to Hull Docks, where it sits for around 2 hr 30 mins before heading to Ferrybridge Power Station. In game, this would be drivable from Goole to Hull & back.
On the other hand, DB Cargo operates 5 services daily at the dock, with one of these services going in and out of Hull Docks to Masborough Depot (Goole - Hull - Goole). Another one of these services is a container service destined for Trafford Park in Manchester, and a final service due in from East Midlands Container Terminal which would form the Hull - Trafford Park service the next day.

Good suggestion . I seem to remember Geoff Marshall doing a video around this area , not sure if it was this line . But we do need a modern UK northern route
