In the TSW 6 FAQ for the three brand-new routes it provides detail of route info/history, key features, platform differences and layers.

Anyway, regarding Leipzig-Dresden it says Xbox Series S/X and PS5 (and well obviously PC too) will "get the full experience", although additional layers are listed as TBC currently (and please have an Expert 101 timetable!).

I'm optimistic that this does mean a complete timetable for this route? My big worry as a Gen 9 console player is having another Frankfurt S-Bahn situation - which still has a reduced timetable btw!

For context, it already confirms Gen 8 will have no additional layers and a reduced number of playable services.

I guess so, they have excluded the City-Tunnel probably because of this, makes the Leipzig side really boring though, you can route hop probably but 3 stops are still missing.

    From the TSW6 FAQ:

This is all a really bad joke.

I'd imagine it'll be a similar situation to SEHS where the original version "becomes" the newer version if you own it. It would be quite frustrating to pay again for the route despite already owning half of it.

New route, not extension, thus no free upgrade

Wow… what an interesting way to say:“well, we didn’t manage to increase the performance and reduce blurry textures so we let you decide if you want busy routes with bad performance or ghost town routes with better performance. Than it’s not our fault.“

sadly the most important point (better performance) wasn’t a priority again like it seems

Well, I think it's interesting that they admit that you need a " high end machine " to play the game to its full potential.

They're also saying that you need at least 16GB of RAM and an RTX 30XX, though that's really not " high end " these days.

Kind of lets them off the hook as far as future performance optimization is concerned, meaning that, if you don't have these specs at a minimum, you shouldn't play all the layers or expect stellar performance at high settings.

I suppose to be fair they're in line with most higher end games these days.

I got the impression that DRA is still needed for a few of the trains which aren't included in Dresden-Leipzig, which seems like a huge waste of storage space.

No, the Vectron is a standalone DLC.

That’s correct. Any timetable post Rush Hour that have layers with Zacns wagons will depend on DRA.

cwf.green Regarding the Expert 101, are there plans to eventually have this a separate timetable for Leipzig-Dresden? If so, would it be right to assume this will come at a later date?

We are planning on making an Expert timetable for Leipzig Dresden. As for when: it will be released along side the BR 145 Expert, that's all I can say right now.

Thank you for clarifying, William. Very much looking forward to that and the 145.

All the best and kind regards.

The series s might struggle since it does not have a lot of memory. In terms of other consoles, they might be able to run it if they can run current tsw5 routes

If they merge the DLCs together, I'll lose one DLC where there's no problem with the textures and get a new one where the textures will probably get blurry.
