For the class 87 then I will upload it, and I accept how you feel. For me tho I did see this as look at the time you spent on the long post about what went on in the GWE thread. You went out of your way to find out about the situation and thus in some way supported me as I too seen the flak you got on that page. So this is the only reason. You took time to do something for me, I haven’t responded to the long messages you sent. I felt for me to say thank and apologise for not responding is why I made a class 87 because you supported me as person behind the project. Again if you knew how deeply that GWE thread got to me then you would understand why.

Okay what I am asking and what this thread is for.

Thread is open for the community to add any ideas or preparations for the Railway 200 national event.
A place we can come to share and discuss the whole real events taking place in August and September.
That’s it. Just an open thread.

Now what I am offering not asking. I am not asking anyone to be part of the R200 but I do ask for others to support the project as others are doing Railway 200 work so why not as a community share our work and ideas, again the open thread side.

But I do offer a position in a R200 team if a community member wishes to have a say on its direction.
They can also be involved on an outside support bases. That means they can be involved with a group DM where an outside community member gets more information before the community does. This is to help them provide what they wish based on the direction the R200 team is going. Any outside team member will also get direct support from all team members to as and when needed.
Again as an outside team member supported they have freedom to add what they wish and would be given credit for their involvement when all this is over.

So the thread has two sides really as the Team popped up as other members did want to have more involvement and say on what goes on within the R200 project.

Community members can freely share the work they are doing for the national event here and we as R200 project would approach anyone that we felt we could use a livery for a scenario. Even anyone that deals with scenarios due to the demands on current members.

It is simply a way to share and come together that’s all. If anyone would like to be fully involved with the team just means they take direction or can have a say on its direction. Any ideas a member has we can try get of the ground. We discuss as a Team and act on what’s discussed that’s all.

There is no pressure for any community member to be part of R200 team. I don’t ask for that. All I do ask is if others in the community are doing Raliway 200 material then why not come together and support each other and my team mates in trying to bring The Greatest Gathering on TSW5. The more liveries the community provides the big the show will be.

My vision for this project is to have many different era themes. The opportunity for livery makers and scenario creators coming together.
To be creative in there field. Write story boards with photos or even YT videos. The possibility is endless yet I feel I am the only one that sees it.

I speak of perfection but to gain anything close to perfection we must have things working in harmony.
I can’t do it on my own, it’s an amazing opportunity for us all to come together for this once in a life time opportunity.
To work together in peace and harmony. We might achieve perfection together.

All our liveries in one place. All the different liveries and rolling stock for special charters even galas an idea TTB has and so wish I could support him more. This would give rise to story telling of possible historical services and the traction used. The work Dave does with his class 47s and Old Dalby coaches. Stuff like that I’d love to see all being used and tired together.
Photos and YT videos of all these scenarios and liveries being filmed as part of the R200 team.

So yes I’m not asking anyone to join my Team I giving the opportunity for us to be part of something be a young up-starter to the Pros.
It’s about being at the greatest gathering on TSW5 so we can remember that day on 27th September 1825 by bringing all of 200 years of railway history together in a game.

You’re not even part of the Team because you haven’t enquired to be part of it. Being an outside user being involved like TTB in that he takes no direction but would like to have the change to be involved.
Going back to basic means your free to add and as R200 would ask if we could use your work or see if you would like to be more involved.
And that’s it really.

Have fun, create, and the R200 would use any work a user might share. Permission granted. The Print Shop was set up for completed work taking direction from that weeks theme for what scenarios TG08 had planned. Away from here as again this is preps and the print shop was for fully completed work looking a place in a scenario say. A little competition.


Yet all of this needs man power to function as one. With one or two cogs missing then this project will grind not flow.
The mill stone might even crack due to pressure and work load. So why I ask simply for support.

To keep me and my team mates staying strong.

All this was meant to be fun not a grind.

Hopefully I can put the wheels back on the LMS vs LNER.

Hey I’m aware of the situation and you standing in on not much information from me but surly we can do something as again going back to my original and previous demands that we must have has much variety as possible and to refuse such work like what Jimbo and even a new user I’m taking to then I’m not happy as Project leader to be so limited yet have some time to play with. If not then again going back to my original request is that if your are busy and the lack of variety is not there then it’s not over nor finished.

Can TTB have fun with scenarios and then it allows Rudy to now what to focus on as it’s all R200 related.

The structure and agreement between me and Rudy as outside team member adding but feeding of what we produce.
What we make is for Rudy to decide what to feel as he’s under no obligation or direct order to do so.
He’s doing this to support the project that’s all. So we must work with Rudy and make it simple for Rudy.

Im sure Rudy will agree he doesn’t need all the aggravation of what to film and not film.
We simple get liveries in, make scenarios, and Rudy films at will. No bother or anything from us.
Again part of my agreement with Rudy and respect his decision not to be fully or directly involved.
I hope you don’t mind me saying Rudy that you like the quiet life and that I want to protect by making it simple.

I don’t like to speak to openly like this but as I’ve been away then I need to take stock of the situation before anything or any such statements can be officially confirmed by me the Project Leader.
And why as project leader understand your time constraints and why the discussion of new scenarios creators still remains.

I really need to see what the Project has before I jump to any conclusions or make any decisions at this stage of my return.

As you say your self let’s not take too much on so I’m not. This project should run itself in theory. We all now what task we have, it’s just communicating that so we can feed of each other but with limited contact. Saves time if we all know what we’re doing.

To think on one’s feet and turn a bad situation into a positive one.
Actions speak louder than words feed of each other, a tight nit team.

Like chefs in a kitchen. It’s looks like chaos but it’s a fine dance of masters at work.
You only need a few top chefs to provide a 5 star meal

So yes I need to catch up TG08. But right now I’m trying to fight my way through this mess I’ve got myself into.
But with my hand it’s looking okay it’s just my carpal tunnel that’s the real problem. I have to keep stopping and it’s delaying so many personal work and R200. So again in this time and the time needed for me do the art work on 3 390s will allow you plenty of R200 down time if again currently you have no task on.

Jimbo supports us man, let’s do the same for Jimbo. He’s worked hard on that livery.
And as agreed I have the final say on what seen and not seen I would like Jimbos work used if that’s possible TG08.

That's fair enough, however I do already have one of his liveries in the scenario (the 387 that he made). The reason why I've worked on the Tilting Trials and the LMS vs LNER content is because I'm happy with TGG scenarios. However, if you aren't happy with my decision, then I'll be happy to add Jimbo's livery in (just for you).

Good afternoon all,
I would like to apologise for my absence. I will explain this to my colleagues at the R200 Team when I get a chance to, but for now I would like to explain briefly where I am. I am going to be taking a hiatus from CC and the forums for a few weeks. I currently have a lot going on at home on my end and therefore I am restricted to what I can achieve for R200 as well as my own content. I have also been reviewing career and further education options so I have been fairly busy at the minute. I am still working on the graphics, and I will provide a small link to view my progress.

I would like to personally apologise to Lee, TG08, TTB and Rudy for my absence as I haven't been there to help out or create more content and offer suggestions, etc... I hope that I can return soon, however I am not sure when this shall happen.

I would also like to thank the community for continuing to support the project and I'm glad that as a community we can come together to celebrate R200.

Ok, I suppose that makes a bit more sense.

Oh right. I misunderstood and thought that was all for the LMS/LNER race. It was for this project. Got it now.
Personally, I have no ideas. I'm happy with the direction of the project and will support it whatever changes. I don't think I'll be able to add anything beyond the liveries that hasn't been added already, so I'm happy staying outside of the group DMs.
Who is Dave? I don't think I've come across that name here yet.
Ah the Print Shop. I forgot about that. I'll need to revisit it, but if the scenarios are now finished I think it's served its purpose.
Quick question, is the LMS/LNER race part of the Railway 200 project or separate. I'm fairly sure it's part of this project but I just want to make sure.

If you guys have any scenario you would like me to film, feel free to let me know in this thread.
Keep in mind though that in a scenario I can't teleport to other locations like you can in timetable mode.
Also, I can not drive and film at the same time, unless I film the driving it self.

But I'm sure you know by now that my channel is about train spotting, not about driving a train.

So the best scenario for me to film is one that has a train / loco that doesn't go anywhere.
In stead I have to rely on the AI's that pass the starting point.

The other thing I can film is the timetable mode, and then "hope" that any trains with your liveries on them actually show up.

As for the me being busy part: I'm about to dive into Cajon Pass, and you know there's not a lot of traffic there, so that will take probably all evening.

And again, leave a link to any scenario and I'll have a look, and see what I can do.

 

Sunrise at Cajun Pass, had to restart to change the date as the AI's didn't always have head- or tail lights.
Tomorrow I'll continue as I only got 4 trains passing by.

I believe it could be a lighting mod/weather mod. I wouldn't know without asking, but Jetwash has made a lighting mod with different presets. However, I believe Laika has made a rain/weather mod.

And again I’m glad you understand what all this is about. Anyone interested have a bit of fun here and use work as a nice way to display other community members work off. Why my aim is to try replicate anything we don’t have on TSW that is at The Greatest Gathering on TSW5. Something I see DTG are now working on so here I feel if they are not with me then DTG is now my direct competitor.
A conflict of interests as who announced A Greatest Gathering on TSW5 first.

So I want more community work now then ever. Again I DM DTG Matt about this idea months back and yet not heard a sausage nor even a mention now.
Any I need to stay away from all that.

For the LMS vs LNER. Even the APT Theme then blended in with Jplays Avanti theme colours. He deserves credit for that idea.
Basically it’s all historical and pays homage to what the Railway 200 event is all about.

So the APT theme is a vital part of UK technical development and INNOVATION. 390 APT and APT WCML theme are all R200 themed.
As again on the WCML livery we have some historical facts.

LMS vs LNER was such an exciting time during the great races for the north, who had the fastest most prestigious company.
I felt by bring those historical events were crucial to how I’d want to celebrate with what I have on TSW 5.

So here is a few for the Race. LMS. Team.
Princess Margret Rose.
A Royal Scot class Theme.
LMS Vasta.
LMS Coronation class. Blue and Maroon.
My chosen team is LMS

For LNER then it’s open for others if they so wish.
As all I’m committing to the LNER side is 3 basically.
Mallard. Silver Fox and Silver Link. These where already a quick solution to the limited time I had or have now.
I called upon the old A4 Heritage Class Fleet.

A past project to try celebrate the days of A4 stream liners. And the Silver Jubilee express.

So yes there are all part of R200 but with an added element of fun by inviting the community to share their A to B top speed time on the WCML. My contribution.

On the side it will say what event it’s used for so in this case the WCML speed record challenge.

Then the more complicated LMS vs LNER. I say complicated due to the art work involved as I will be doing a Royal Scot class on the sides of the 390s.

And then the LMS Coronation Class.

(WIP). These have all been delayed due to my hand injury. It’s takes really really small adjustments as you will see on the next work (Class 43s an Icon) as an example of why I couldn’t work on these 390s. Even a sleek black 5. Yep 390 005 will be seen soon

All this I speak of a more are being developed and made for R200 but again as a fun way to see who can go from A to B to C in the fastest combined time. There will be more rules and points awarded as a winner gets the chance of having any class of loco on the side of a 390 for being the one with the shortest combined time run. That’s if LMS side win. If not then it will be a LNER 801. Not sure about adding art work to the 801 tho. See what I could do on the rear unit possibly. All this is to come hopefully. It’s all to pay homage to our past and to celebrate Railway 200.

So the Racing will soon take place, who will you choose tho Jimbo, Team LMS or LNER?.

Dave, sorry I meant Dave5007 is their forum tag. The work he’s creates is of historical significance so I’d love for him to be involved with this project so we can freely use there work and share on YT under the R200 team and logo say. But I have given up seeing if others do the the advantages of being involved with R200 Team.
Why I ask for others to be more involved to cover any issues of who get created and if permission was granted or not.

A simple hey I like you work can we do something together or use a members work for scenarios etc.
Being respectful and to give credit where it’s due.
Why it’s always been a case of What I make is clear, it’s my work because I can prove and share that work.
Same as TG08, my idea for the events etc and what he makes under R200 but again he can freely share on his own thread so it’s clear who is responsible for that work and why it’s important for me to know who’s full in the team or not. For credit reasons.

Same for Rudy. What he makes is outside of the full involvement as R200 Team but is part of it so he knows that all work we provide has been so with permissions. As part of that outside team means as a YT’er can relax and we as team mates support there willing to support R200 as an outside team member.

I wasn’t fully aware of those terms in the T&C yet I felt having something in place ie being involved meant any willing member had some understanding or arrangements of use to cover all those bases of rights of use and credit rightfully due.
So it’s a good job I ask before I uploaded you loco. And I gain any permission from users such as Dave5007.

I don’t make many inquiries in to if any member would like to be involved now.
The door has always been open as it’s a open forum and it’s this thread was set up for the community to share with others about the event and what we are all doing, with the option to do something bigger as a well developed R200 Team.

And I will just add that when this is all over and the R200 no longer has a use will that team disband or move on to a Mega Project.
Who knows only time will tell

It’s good news they are regardless of personal project feelings. Why DTG never thought of this or made any announcements of this soon is beyond me. The PR and marketing sense of the word. Why I said how cool if Hornby made locos DLCs and sold them as add ons for a collection of what’s at the TGG. DTG did the event and Hornby got into the console game industry.
All those individual loco DLCs could be used on all other DLC content.

I'm really sorry TrainGeek, but I can't access my creation from the game, so I can't reupload the (admittedly rather small) changes I made to the 710 livery. I've made a new one (link above), but I am aware that you may have a little extra work to do as a result.

Unless I can somehow access my original upload from in game. Then I can just reupload it.

Again, I would like to highlight that I do not expect this to go into the scenario (although I won't stop you from adding it) - it is just a little bit of fun for me to be part of a team.

 

Very nice liveries, and a wide variety of them too. I still believe that the East Coast Mainline is faster to Edinburgh that the West Coast Mainline is to Glasgow. Team LNER for me.

Hehe. Yeah it is nice. Jetwash has made the game look more realistic with the lighting mods in comparison to the default lighting.

 

He most certainly has because I’ve always felt the lighting was just way to bright for what it should be. I’m lucky to have found Rudy and for Rudy to be so open the idea of filming what the R200 Team does. It nice to see Rudy and Jimbo put something together.

Thats what it’s all about, coming together enjoying what we love and to celebrate Railway 200 on TSW5 as a community.

Yeah. That's the advantage of having a PC though I suppose. It's a shame consoles can't use mods really as it's a bit bland when I play on my Xbox rather than using the windows version for PC.

I’m all giddy now I love seeing not only my work but others too, especially fictional side as I think if fictional work is presented in the right way it kinda works.

IE the WCML Speed Record Challenge.
And the LMS vs LNER Time Run Challenge.
Each has a separate theme, themes that could be played with further with black and white stream train footage all misty like it was back in the day. So again the LMS vs LNER the winner has there runs downloaded to you for editing. You could add old English voice over like old British Pathe videos.
The fun the creativity with the A4s Heritage theme tired with the R200 Streamliner theme (LMS vs LNER) Or the Great Race to the North, and Back challenges. If I did YT videos then I’d be doing all shorts. Why stick ya eggs in one basket, especially when it came to me considering doing YT.
Yet knowing how I am with music scores and cinematography I’d never get anything done.

Why I said I fully understand and appreciate everything you do for me and for others.
It takes a lot of time and commitment to be YouTuber.

You have and will always have my respect but it’s not for everyone and why I’m not on YT even tho id love to be, I just can’t.

I know my limitations yet I try to help others by not leaving them limited in possible ideas.

I’ve been taking it slow than expected as my hands been burning again and throbbing, so defo eased off these last few days. Had to with the pain. Plus the look in the eye of the nurse that said it’s basically 50/50 still puts fear of how serious the infection was.
So I will get cracking soon as I’ve already set the basics up first before working on the Art work.

Plus in the day time I have Raton (My Daughters new Cat) to the look after now. I’m a lover of animals because they’re living creatures.
It’s a baby and needs a wing to hide underneath. I’m His protector so this is a duty I’m responsible for until 17:00.
Been trying to catch up to over all the comments etc left over the last few days too, so once I’m up to date here I can again focus more on working.

My life now that is devotion to your craft. Sounds so tedious to.

Hey I don’t work at the moment doubt I ever will too, designing liveries is my dream. But I worked once, 4am to 15:00 as I drove for a living so when it came to enjoyment or downtime on any game was very very limited and if I did I’d be so tired to actually enjoy what I produced.

It’s a grind and when fun can get lost in the day to day working life.

So yes to cut you some slack I’ll go check out what’s been released with Ai off and reset that, and anything from now on will have Ai on.
When I do change any old Ai settings I will update of those changes.

And just noticed it’s Friday so time for the “Weekend” (Scooter). Nothing wrong with a bit of Happy Hardcore
