Thank you for the suggestion, I am aware and have played on The Wycombe railway and joint line. And I will have a look at the GWR 2-8-0 and 2-8-2 tanks.
Also the SSS Southampton-Weymouth route might be of interest. Western Region ran services from Weymouth to Portsmouth so a Castle on that line is not out of place.
I like the idea of a proper GWR route as opposed to a BR(W) or preserved route. My preference would be for the Didcot, Newbury and Southampton to give some opportunity for period Southern running.
