I rode RE50, I think it's 16522 with Talent 2, although I have the faults turned off, so I solved 3x stuck doors and about 4x something with power and Sifa, reset power to Idle and then continue, something ....... and when I arrived at Leipzig Hbf at about 17:00, 10 minutes later, I noticed on 2Dmap that the other two entering lines to Leipzig and also the S-Bahn lines were clogged with about 10 trains, but also the train that was supposed to enter Hbf tief, I think the S-Bahn line had a red one, etc ....... I have no idea how it happened ...... it didn't affect my ride, but it was strange
I noticed some errors with the temporarily reduced track speed signs/signals on Dresden-Leipzig (probably all german routes that allow this feature). Before I start I apologize for being very strict but irl I'm a train operator and this just bugs me lol. The german rules and regulations for signals put the signs/signals for temporarily reduced track speed at Lf1, Lf1/2, Lf2 and Lf3. The signal Lf1 "Langsamfahrscheibe" announces a upcoming reduced speed. The signal looks a lot like the normal track speed sign Lf6 but has some little differences. The following 3 pictures depict the signal Lf1, used for the announcement of temporarily reduced track speed: Above is Lf1 during the day. The two grey circles are turned off lights that are used for nighttime. The right one is used when there is reduced space on the track. Normally you'd see the left version. Above is Lf1 during the night. The two yellow circles are lights that are flashing or steadily burning. Same as the day version, the right one is used on tracks with reduced space. Above shown is the Lf1 with a direction arrow if the there is a switch before the section with reduced speed starts so the train operator knows if the signal regards him. For example, the arrow is pointing to the right, so if you'd drive to the left past a switch, the reduced speed doesn't concern you. The rules and regulations give another signal called Lf1/2 which announces the reduced speed and marks the start of the reduced speed section. This signal is normally used on tracks/lines where track speed is already rather slow so you'd be able to see the sign and slow down before reaching it. Since the forum doesn't allow more then 5 pictures per post I might make a second post with a attached picture. Up next is the signal Lf2 "Anfangsscheibe" which marks the beginning of the section with reduced speed. The A stands for the german word "Anfang" which means "beginning". The last signal is the Lf3 "Endscheibe" which marks the end of the section with reduced speed. Once your entire train has past this signal you may accelerate to the normal track speed. I wanted to post this since the signals where mixed up in their order. I encountered two of these reduced track speed sections where the first one had the Lf2 "Anfangscheibe" to mark the beginning and the end of the section and the second time the Lf3 marked the start and the Lf2 marked the end. Both are obviously wrong. I hope that DTG will fix this issue and hopefully add the yellow lights to the Lf1. dtg_jan Sorry for my english, I hope it isn't too bad
Yes it is the same Leipzig. I don't know why there is no route hopping. I could guess it's because rapid transit has two different timetables.
As I said, I'm gonna add some more pictures here: Above is the signal Lf1 with the two orange lights. Above is the signal Lf1/2
Now completed a run to Leipzig and, well yes, it was not that exciting. Riesa to Leipzig pretty much a 20 minute dash in the ICE through bland flat scenery. Though to be fair what I expected after playing the TSC version. Convinced there were better candidates for extension - RSN perhaps, or Maintalbahn. Oh on the subject of Maintalbahn, nice one DTG - your end of run summary at the end of my drive from Dresden to Leipzig seems to think I've just finished a run on Maintalbahn... About time this nonsense was sorted out. One more thing, from what I can tell driving the ICE (with windows open) not only did the route builder not bother adding reverb to the existing section, they decided to go for symmetry by not bothering with the new bit either. Not bad for 1/3 of £58, eh?!
Anfang and Ende seem to be OK from Dresden to Leipzig They are switched from Leipzig to Dresden. Makes me think the signs are calculated with Dresden as point of origin
That is also possible i encountered dispatcher errors in more than half of my runs so this route is on hold for now
I'm just throwing this in here, even though it's not directly about the route. I captured this image during a night shift. It shows the signals Lf2, Lf6, and Lf7. Essentially, you can see the following: Signal Lf7 indicates a fixed line speed of 80 km/h (previously, the speed limit was 100 km/h). This 80 km/h applies to both directions of travel at the signal. Behind it, you can see a signal Lf6, which indicates a speed of 70 km/h. However, this announcement only applies when you cross the switch to the left. If you turn right, it does not affect the train. Directly below the signal Lf6 is a signal Lf2, which also indicates a temporarily reduced speed from the signal onwards only for the line branching to the left. German signaling almost at it's best
Hi How do you know which way you will be routed ? As I noticed the German signal system doesn’t have the feather type signal like in the UK , indicating route direction. Or is it just route knowledge ?
Doing a guard service on the Dosto (Dresden Hbf to Dresden Neustadt) I found several issues with it: Sometimes the check ticket icon just floats over an empty chair 3 tickets to check, only 2 icons found The procedure for departure doesn't always have the right steps: sometimes the 'inhibit door' task doesn't appear. At Dresden Hbf platform 13, you can't get out onto the platform. You get stuck in the doorway, which can only be solved by crouching Various clipping/collision issues when walking through the carriage Playing on PS5
The train faults still occurring despite them being turned off is really starting to irk me and ruin enjoyment of this route.
The Talent is displaying an MCB or pantograph fault message, but the motor is actually still drawing power and the traction continues. It even compliments me if I resolve the 'fault'—but this way it's not very exciting. Meanwhile, I haven't gotten any ideas why the BR101 doesn't show up in the menu, even though it works fine as an AI train.
DB Br 294 -> The game scoring system thinks PZB is disabled even when it is enabled, so it only gives you the "without safety system" points and shows the "you could get more points if you enabled PZB" message. In the picture below, you can see that PZB is enabled because the blue 70 is lighted up in the PZB panel, but the scoring system is still thinking it is disabled (warning message + only 35 points). Tried turning PZB on both with the switch and the keyboard shortcut. PC/Steam Picture taken from the EZK (53383) Switching at WeiBig starting at 3:06 (started it from the 2nd Journey chapter).
Are you driving in reverse? (As the goal icon seems to be behind you...) On some trains, the safety systems don't work when reversing.
It is a shunting service. It involves going in both directions, and still only gave +35 no matter what direction the loco was moving. Also, this is a shunter loco. It has 2 PZB panels (1 looking forward and 1 looking backwards) so you can always see one of them no matter what direction you are moving. Obviously PZB has to work in both directions (and as far as I can tell, it looks like it actually does in the simulated loco).
That's too bad. Just the umpteenth bug with safety systems and scoring... (Most were resolved in the meantime, but still).
I noticed that maybe an update has sorted the issue of not being able to adjust the contrast on the talent 2 screens. But instrument gauge dimmer switch still doesn’t work .Also the strange braking behavior where the brakes seemed to be stuck on at low speed when you depart seems to be resolved now , I think on the talent 2.
Germany has the signal Zs2 which indicates the direction of travel on a branching via a letter. For example on this station I get a W for traveling to the right and I think an H for traveling to the left. The letters and there indication left or right are also written in the timetable. We do have other ways to indicate the direction but the signal Zs2 is the standard. It would look like this: Sig xxx (xxx would have the signal name/number) "W" for xxx (xxx would be a station, often the next upcoming station) "H" for xxx (xxx would be a station, often the next upcoming station) Based on this you would see if the dispatcher made a mistake.
Two new things. One is that in Leipzig you can't hear station annoucements further down the platforms. And you should, there are loudspeakers there. Second might be some timetable or dispatcher error. I arrived in Leipzig with the IC 2044, some 21 seconds late, so I'd say on schedule. It was supposed to depart at 6:37 to Köln, and I wanted to watch the operations, as it was not a "sandwich" train. Sure enough after some 3 or 4 minutes another BR101 arrived and coupled to the train (pushing it all the way into the buffer stops, byt he way). At 6:35 it switched the lighting and pantographs, apparently ready to depart. Except it never did. Now it's 6:58 and the train is still standing at the platform, doors open. Minimap says "Stop Arrived at Instruction". Indeed the signal is red. The timetable on the minimap just keeps updating the delay, but the train won't move. I guess ultimately it will cause a gridlock... Edit: I acutally waited more (well, I went for a dinner) and the train did not move till 7:28, indeed causing the next one to that platform to wait endlessly at a signal. But then I investigated more, first spawning on foot at 6:35 to observe just the departure, and then at 6:25 to see the whole process of changing the loco. Both times it worked fine. One notable difference was that when the second loco came at the latter case, it coupled gently, and did not push the whole consist towards the platform stops. But in any case it does not seem to be a systemic error, and I have no clue what caused it originally.
Thanks for the useful info I’ve just started getting into the German routes , still trying to get the hang of all the signalling , and PZB/LZB etc.
Happy to help. If you need some help with german signaling and train safety systems just ask and @ me
In Leipzig itself, however, we need to make improvements. There are some very distinctive buildings missing that should be there. However, I would like to request improvements.
I know we are supposed to see various easter eggs on this platform. But this was not what I expected Month is October, I know it was said on stream that is seasonal.
Having signal problems too: * Red signals that appear green on the HUD and act like green signals * Red signals that appear from nowhere on the HUD and lead you to SPAD * The LZB speed needle going like crazy in the 101, unrelated to the signals and line speed on the HUD
This happened to me when I was riding the BR363 or BR294 service, when the train is actually in shunting mode, so the shunting allowed signal is on somewhere or just red when the signal is not equipped with a shunting signal
Optimization on an old part of the route became worse than it was before the extension(lots of micro-freezes and unstable FPS). On the other hand the new part of the route runs wery smoothly.
When entering Leipzig Central Station, the well-known high-rise building right next to the station is still missing. At the moment, there's just a placeholder there that doesn't really fit the location. You can see the actual high-rise quite clearly on Google Street View: https://maps.app.goo.gl/fLMjYWxVFoDdzm4J9
Have played this route quite a bit mainly on talent 2 and overall I think it’s pretty good , apart from some bugs ( not too major), as I’ve mentioned before. There is quite a bit of variety on this route in terms of different paths and the mix of freight , passenger and shunting . The extension makes a pretty big route , and although as some have said it’s quite a straight track on the extension the scenery is actually quite good . And also the Friedrichstadt line addition looks good . If you have most of the layers it’s quite a busy route with lots of different traffic .
the physics have been reworked quite a bit it seems... now to release the standing brake it needs more force... also, the tempomat works differently - before you didnt have to keep almost any throttle, minimal would keep the speed... now you have to have at least some throttle to keep the tempomat going (sometimes even 30-40% when going up an incline)
this thing definitely seems like a bug but maybe someone can prove me wrong - I was doing a RE18 service with a BR 143, Leipzig Dresden version, from Grossenhain to Dresden, and I got a Sifa Zwangsbremsung... so I acknowledged, put Speed Selector to OFF (as even the driver assist suggested), then tried putting power back on... but it didnt let me, instead it would just say "Turn Speed Selector to OFF to release the traction lock" which I DID, but the traction lock wouldnt relent... only when I stopped it let me apply power again let me know but this SHOULD be recoverable while still moving? edit: tested this, and it seems this bug was introduced with the Frankfurt S-Bahn version, which is a shame, cos that one finally had the e-brake/blended brake working as it should
Many thanks - I have some more feedback I'll post below. Regarding the blurred textures, I have all layers switched on.
Some more feedback and suggestions having played this route much more since: - I've noticed with Leipzig-Dresden that all cars on the Laaers wagons are unpainted, compared with other routes like Kassel-Wurzburg for example, which have cars with several different colours (see screenshots below): Leipzig-Dresden: unpainted cars Kassel-Wurzburg: painted cars with differing colours - Leipzig-Dresden only features the ICE-T featuring the green stripe while the original red stripe can't be selected or seen as AI. Conversely, on other older routes, the green stripe ICE-T can't be selected and vice versa. Both versions should be selectable and used for AI traffic to add more variety and realism: While the year this route is in is just slightly too early for FlixTrain, I think players should still be given the option of having it included (especially considering this DLC is barely used) if they want as would increase AI traffic at both Leipzig and Dresden:
More feedback: - Wondered why the DB BR 642 does not feature anywhere at all in Dresden, considering VVO 642s in reality. These would complement the 612s in Leipzig-Dresden. - Services with the DB BR Bnrdzf 463 cab car (with the 218) are not playable as they are. - Several services have no arrival times in timetable mode. - At Dresden, I've noticed several AI 612 services at the top platforms, however the station PIS screens remain blank for these services: - When playing S4 service (37452), this signal outside Engelsdorf shows red (with 500Hz) but according to the map shows as green and thus can be continued:
Service S2 32708 Train Dostos Cab Car Series X I don't know if it depends on this Route but a Passenger wanted to go to Sonderzug when I was playing in Conducter Mode.
More feedback: - Regarding AI traffic at Leipzig Hbf, how much is actually fully represented as the station still feels very quiet with many platforms and PIS boards always empty; as an example, I've not seen such IC services towards Oldenburg (as represented in Bremen-Oldenburg route) etc:
yes, we need more passenger Vectrons in the game, as they are taking over a lot of loco-hauled and push-pull traffic in many EU countries
Exactly. In the current Leipzig-Dresden timetable, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong), but I've only seen just a single EC Vectron service that's playable between Leipzig and Dresden. Would be nice to have more, along with the 182/ES 64 to complement the 101 in my opinion.
Hi Team, I am playing the scenario Caught With Your Pantograph Down - Bahnstrecke Leipzig - Dresden but I cannot use AFB. I also noticed that the PZB LFB SIFA switches are upside down for this train. If I turned them off, there are symbols on the main screen and HUD saying they are actually connected. I tried the Troubleshooting PC Technical Issues Guide on your website such as reboot and reinstall the game but nothing help. From Youtube I see some players have the same issue so it should not be a single case from my device. Please investigate it, thanks.
Hello, I just finished a timetable from Leipzig to Dresden on Xbox X, RE50 (16521). I switched on all layers, the route feels a bit empty anyway. This timetable goes a bit over 90 minutes. The textures went blurry short after Leipzig HBF and stayed like this. I usually don't care anymore about those texture issues. Offtopic: What annoys me since TSW 5 and started around 2 months ago: When you make a formation in the designer, the textures sometimes get blurry in the designer. And they stay like this, even when you start a run. You have to restart the game! And it's the same in TSW 6! By the way the Diesel N-Wagen is still not usable in the formation designer! Ok back to the timetable, all went ok until Dresden Mitte. There the game crashed, but Xbox opened a window with an out of memory error bla bla. Was the first time, the game crashed and my Xbox told me why
This year was the last Time i buy a new TSW Version...Next year i "buy" only the free starter pack... I Hope a new Simulation comming soon... DTG is sleeping... The Route for the RE50 at 4:00am is with no OHLE!!! This is not a bug this is a shame.... And what doing the PIS there ? This Problem i have with TSW 5 too and nobody fix this bug..
My destination is not " Nicht Einsteigen " xD come on... DTG i play Zusi or Simrail for the next time..
I’m enjoying this route it’s just let down by a lack of polish. I’ve seen lots of incidents now where car traffic is spawning in and respawning on roads, right next to stations. In fact I’ve seen a lot of that in tsw6
So playing some freight jobs and some of them the pzb just keeps stopping me i have a clear path and all greens but yet it just keeps screwing me over and I dont know why.
