    As Quentin says, I’d start at 100% and assuming all is well work up in 10% increments until you find the limit. Depends if you’re using lossless scaling as well but that setup should be capable of a higher resolution than 1440p.

    Goes without saying I would not suggest a screen percentage of 50% (720p).

    I'm going to ask a silly question - Is there a way we can add screen percentage to the dynamic ini?
    I find I want to use different percentages for different routes to maintain best performance - some older routes I can comfortably run at 200% - but newer routes I might need 125-150%...

    I can change it in settings that's not an issue - but If I could set and forget that would be ideal.

    I guess thats not possible... Its only game based not possible to setup every route in this way.

    Logically this should work but I’ve never tried it, and don’t know if TSW would override it. Worth a go though.

    I can confirm that the r.ScreenPercentage=*** command does work and could therefore be set on a route by route basis using the Godmode mod.

    In game I have it set to 100% and in a busy Carlisle with everything on Ultra I get just under 60fps. As soon as I enter r.ScreenPercentage=200 into Shap's dynamic.ini and hit the run button it drops to around 20-25fps. Remove the command from the dynamic.ini and it shoots straight back to 60fps.

    Apologies to all as not really related to Jetwash's mod in any way but something I thought may get more help in this thread as the mod in question is well known in here......

    I have had the Better Shadows mod installed since release..... But I've noticed on the Riviera route I'm getting shadows from lineside shrubs and trees popping in really late like things used to be before the Better Shadows mod came along.

    I've just fired up London - Brighton and the shadows are way off into the distance as they should be with the mod so the mod is working but not seemingly on the Riviera route and possibly the other TSW6 routes? Has something changed in TSW6/TSW6 routes?

    Is anyone else notice/getting this?

    I hadn’t noticed it to be honest, but then I’ve only run the route a few times (btw, props to Rivet as I think it’s their best UK route by a country mile)

    I've popped a comment on the mod's page on TSW so hopefully Kat sees it..... I did notice someone had commented on there that the mod made no difference in TSW6 so they possibly were also running Riviera or one of the other new routes?

    The section between Teignmouth and Newton Abbott on an autumn afternoon is a good example with shadows constantly popping in around 50-80 yds in front of the train.

    As became apparent today, I’ve been pretty busy and ‘otherwise occupied’. I’m afraid priorities have changed, but I still intend to update the mod. This was my baby after all, and I’ve poured a lot of work into it. However, I have a demanding full time job, my 3rd party role and a young family and there are only so many hours in a day.

    I can’t be any more specific than ‘it will be out when it’s out’. Right now, as far as TSW goes, my 3rd party work has to come first I’m afraid.

    I've done some more checking on the Riviera line shadows mod issue and it looks to be related to the "foliage.LODDistanceScale=" rather than the mod.

    It was set to 3 in my dynamic .ini but i think because of the amount of foliage they have placed very close to the track on this particular route the shadows therefore become more noticeable when they also pop in late with the shrubs. Raising this value to anything above 5 removes the issue as the shrubs etc.... appear when they are further away and therefore the shadows do too.

    Thanks both for the suggestion -

    From my testing - it works when you apply it through the dynamic ini - but then very quickly it reverts to what's in your settings. (or at least based on what I can see through GPU usage).

    It reverts back to the game settings and does not remember that dynamic engine settings do you mean?

    Did someone figured out how to disable distant fog in cloudy weather? Cause clouds doesn't mean fog(can someone deliver this message to DTG?).
    TimeOfDaySystem.LowerHemisphereSunLightIlluminanceMult=0 helps only with sunny weather.

    Quick question........

    Does the info entered in the dynamic .ini overrule the info entered in the engine.ini if it is entered in both?

    By this I mean if you use the Ultra version of this pack but one route struggles could you copy and paste the Medium or High engine.ini entries into that route's dynamic .ini along with it's dynamic .ini entries and therefore overrule the Ultra engine.ini info only when using that route?

    Does that make sense?

    Why you should do that? You can copy and paste different ini versions.... So High for route A and Medium for route B... Open the godmode.sav with a Notepad program and you can copy it easy...

    Just FYI, I’ve done the TSW6 version of the mod but am sitting on it for the time being. I need to be 100% certain that I don’t inadvertently include something in there I shouldn’t.

    I don't think you grasp what I'm asking.......

    I know very well that you could have Ultra dynamic for some routes and High dynamic for some and medium dynamic for others.... (I already do this) But they all still use the same Ultra engine.ini settings in the engine.ini file...... So my question is could you copy and paste the engine.ini entries from either the High or Medium versions of the mod into a route's dynamic ini in Godmode and would it then overrule what the engine.ini settings say. So you have that single route run with the lower version of the engine.ini entries whilst all others would still run with the Ultra version without actually having to change the actual engine.ini file out when using that one route.

    So the fully dumbed down question is if an entry is in both the dynamic.ini AND engine.ini but with a different value in each which one takes preference and is actually used.

    It should be these:
    r.DefaultFeature.LensFlare=1
    r.LensFlareQuality=3

    Don't blame you there. And I don't want the 3rd party side of this game to lose out on your talent, so thank you being cautions about that.
