Is there a way to get rid of this blue terrain in the distance or at least diminish its effects perhaps with some game settings? I have AP weather but not RW Enhancer. Maybe the enhancer can fix this? Either way it's annoying, it's making me enjoy the game experience less.

On all routes, it's not a route issue.

See Environment/Terrain/Terrain.bin blueprint. Distance color is pecified there. Also take a look at dev/docs/HOWTOUSE_TS14Tech_P2. You can find information there about generation of distant terrain.

Thank you! What do you recommend using to open and edit a .bin file?

You cannot edit it directly. Unpack it with serz.exe, found in Railworks folder. Then edit with any editor, it is just an xml file. And then convert it back with serz to bin.

What should I look for or modify once I've opened the terrain.bin file?

    I
What you are seeing is normal. You are viewing from a certain height. Route developers only put scenery at a certain distance either side of the track. In an overhead view, you can see where the scenery stops. In some routes with distant hills or mountains, they can appear blue due to haze in the atmosphere.

That wasn't the case before though, I would see blurry distant terrain but not blue and somewhat foggy.
