Just gone back to the top of the thread & yes it does appear the HST pack has the barriers & the 387 pack is the 66 liveries & new HHA wagons. The barriers not being with the 387 is odd, but presumably the 66 & wagons are Freightliner liveried which does make sense for a GWML & SWML stock themed pack.
These already exist. They were released with the remaster. All unbranded, there were 4; C2C, GX, GWR and HX
Given c2c is now publicly owned (and DTG have a good relationship with the DfT), I wonder if we will get an official branded variation... Would be nice to see it layer onto the Gospel Oak to Barking Line to give Barking a bit more of a busy feeling!
It seems logical to me that all the versions of something already available in the game are gradually introduced. If it's done by a developer that can take an old model and improve it with new features, I think it's a good thing, it fills the gaps and is reasonnable in terms of development costs. Would love to get a 150/1 btw... But I'm delighted that there's still some new stuff coming too (Class 70 and 90), and I'm curious to see how it will be with the 807 (if it's just a "reskin" or not...) !
They did have the interior colours changed but nothing more than that. IRL there are more substantial differences such as different moquette and other details.
The 387 does the London Paddington to Cardiff Central runs, then there's an ECS move where it reverses onto a different platform at Cardiff before heading back towards London. So the only playable services that would make sense would be those ECS runs on Cardiff, It goes off map after that.
I was actually trying to replicate that service in free roam on Cardiff but to my surprise, it seems the overhead wires at Cardiff Central are just for show and aren't actually functional as I couldn't get power from the wires. Not sure what this means for the 387 pack but that might throw a spanner in the works. Feel free to test this yourselves and see if you can get any AC power at Cardiff.
You see, the OHLE in all routes IS just for show, it is the track that is programmed to allow certain trains.
AC power at Cardiff wasn't set up (unsure why), but it's something I noticed before and will fix in time for the 387 pack along with the missing wires over the siding.
