So the frosted glass issue means there is a mod installed somewhere, that is editing the train. Either a PIS/Suspension/Lighting/Lod mod usually.

Please check in "SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 6\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC" for a pak file that isn't official.

Here are a few small issues I’ve noticed so far with both of the 375s:
    1. This is an existing issue from previous electrostar variants in the game- the TPWS switch is still the wrong way round (inverted). When you switch it to normal, it goes to isolate and vice versa.
    2. The DRA should stay illuminated even when a cab is shut down, (key out, reverser off) however the light goes off.
3.Someone has also already mentioned this but there’s a small bug with the GSMR where the last number has a strange line next to it/and or gets stretched.
    4. Not an issue but would be nice to see the smaller toilet on the /6 modelled (maybe something for the future) aswell as the accessible one ;).
    5. Also not an issue but something I’m surprised about is the lack of posters and maps on the train- bit strange there isn’t any seeing there’s loads of SE posters at stations, really makes the interior look more alive and nice, so would welcome that in the future :).

    PS5 Pro
Amazing map, Tonebridge 40FPS, Strood 55 FPS, the rest of the way practically 60FPS, and then it doesn't work.
I tried running the original SEH and Strood only 35FPS. (so a noticeable difference for the better)
Surface textures, objects, just great, overall it all looks natural. And sunlight and night lights, I have no words, it should look like that on all maps. So far I haven't encountered any texture blurring, so hopefully it will stay that way, and I have all layers active.

Number one has already been fixed internally, just need to get it into a patch now. I'll investigate number two and three.
Can't promise on four, but I'll put it to the team.
Five is a licensing issue I think.

Just finished one of the 700 night test runs & yeah, this is the night lighting we’ve been waiting on. Perfect balance between the older ‘light’ nights of ToD2 & the often blackness of ToD4. Being able to pick out distant towns & buildings etc by their lights is really good. The signal light casting is amazing too.

One thing this did highlight for me though is the suspension model on the 700 seems…off. It just sort of shakes really quickly when you pickup speed. I do play with 150% on the slider, but usually when that’s too much for a particular train, the result is just violent swaying, never had shaking before.

It might not be the same cause for you, but I had Laika's old orange PIS fix mod installed - !!Laika-OrangeUKPIS.pak - and removing it resolved the 'frosted' glass. That mod isn't listed on the TSC website now, so it's probably outdated.

I haven't yet found the cause of the crashing that I'm also experiencing, but I haven't tried the nuclear option of removing all my mods.

Can you please try deleting your engine.ini from: "Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld6\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor"

That's resolved most crashes so far.

I'd have sworn blind that I was playing this vanilla, found a TSW5 pak in there.
    !!!JetWash-TSW5-Train Lighting & LOD Fixes
Removed that and the frosted glass is gone, can't comment on if it has any effect on the crashes as I'm switching it off for the night. I did manage to have a 47 minute session of cocking about on foot and trying to guard on an Electrostar to see if that was an issue but it didn't crash and I got bored. Will try a run in the Electrostar tomorrow as a driver, see if it is ok now :)

EDIT: Just to add, I removed the engine.ini, obviously been distracted with the glass issue so not sure if the crashes has been resolved yet, will check in the morning, thanks for your help chaps :)

Just to add my two cents…
On a first drive through rock steady and even running at 4K on my GTX1650 was getting 25 to 30 FPS and that’s with shaders compiling. A couple of minor stutters at Maidstone and Paddock Wood but none of the sound squelching that plagues WCML Over Shap and some other routes.

I had an issue with GSM-R but that was user error/RTFM as for some reason the moron that I am had the relevant Expert options in the game settings turned off. Loading into a fresh run, the enhanced system worked as it should. Thanks to Adam/Fawx for advising on that one.

I like what’s been done with the Electrostar sounds, particularly the traction, flange squeal and bell/buzzer. Firefly should “do a deal” with DTG to back port these on to the existing Electrostars. Rivet take note - this is what metal wheels running on steel rails should sound like.

Even if you’re not a fan of stopping service routes or modern trains, this is well worth getting just to see what talented developers can do with TSW. Yes I’m sure many of us wish they’d done Fort William to Mallaig or Inverness to Perth, but you have to start somewhere and you will not be disappointed.

Thus far 10/10 from me and this plus the Czech route have put a happy smile on the face of TSW.

I feel like I've been spoilt. Great route, attention to detail is on a completely different level. There's a couple of small problems but I don't even care. Well done.

Having read this thread Disabling "objective Complete" Text Pop-up? | Dovetail Games Forums it seems that the user can't supress those messages, they're an option during the build of the timetable and impervious to any setting in the current TSW6 settings menu. I'd support a modification to the core to allow them to be turned off.

Just seen the announcement regarding the PC crashing, is there any update regarding the PS5 audio issue for the 375?

Graphically exceptional, it runs perfectly on Xbox Series X without the slightest hesitation. The only downside is that it looks very overexposed and washed out, more than the TSW average.

Have to say, this is a brilliant route. Love the attention to details, and the team including things that DTG couldn't such as the functioning GSMR. Absolutely zero major issues either, even on Series S.

I've heard internally that a rebuilt version should have been sent to Sony today, so hopefully just waiting for them to push it now.
It's a build issue with MVL on PS5, so it's out of our hands, and is being handled by DTG.

Love the route. Can’t fault a thing,

but a question between the doors closing and the 375 guard bell ringing is it suppose to be that long?

and although the 465 guard bell doesn’t ring back does anyone know if the route had guards when it was networker operations?

For the first bit yes, it's the guard double checking everything is safe before give the driver the clear.
For the second bit I'm fairly sure they had guards yes.

The route is fantastic for sure but I have to agree that the lighting is overexposed on XBox SX causing a lot of shadow pop in issues too.
I’m really hoping it can be optimised on XSX to look as good as the GWE remaster lighting.

I fully understand the need to ask for removal of all mods and ini changes to try and test the cause of this issue. This is a conundrum if I have ever heard one, by removing these files and additions we get a Medway Valley line that works, but we now have lost all the mods which make other routes better for us on pc. This is the one v the many issue. What I plan to do is first test without mods by disabling in settings. Now one has to have all the apk files in the UserContent folder to do this not the DLC folder. My UserContent is located at C:\Users\xxxx\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld6\Saved\UserContent. Since my GodMode is located there, it will be without it active. I will also test it with GodMode moved over to the DLC folder so it is active. Please remember when you move the disable mods switch, you have to restart the game. I am not going to take the ini additions related to GodMode by JetWash out initially,
A big benefit of having your apk files in the UseContent folder is you are able to enable/disable them easily so you can hane and not have them.

I'm playing on Xbox Series X

I'm in expert mode. How do you register the headcode on the GMS-R?
Doesn't allow me to press the number buttons.

    Many Thanks

First run today was with all mod pak files disabled, but the ini file additions of JetWash for used with GodMode still in place. I am running 375-3 service 2K18, which is the one I crashed on yesterday. Made it a bit further on this run but still had the UE crash. Have deleted the ini file additions and will run it again. Now this was the full ini file addition not the shortened one.

Wow, wow, wow! I am blown away by how amazing this route is. The scenery, the sounds, the immersion, everything feels so authentic. The class 375 is a true joy to drive, it feels as if I am actually on the train. I also love that the class 700 received some love, I drive it all the time on the Luton - Rainham service on SEHS. The updated section between Gravesend and Rainham takes that to a whole new level.

I found 2 minor issues but it's far from anything gamebreaking.

    - The desk light on the class 700 is no longer illuminating properly after the update.
    - Passengers deboarding at Rainham remain stationary on the platform at the doors from which they exited the train.

The amazing quality of this route cleary shows the love and passion that went into it, I am excited to see what Firefly will do for their next creation! (The London Commuter fan in me hopes they will work their magic on that route... :D)

JetWash, Did a full run now that your ini additions were removed. You gave us a shortened version which should work. I am wondering how this is going to effect all other routes in the game since the way you have set up your additions in GodMode rely on the full version of the ini additions to work properly, or is the short version enough for now everywhere else outside of MVL?

Have to say, brilliant work by the entire team in giving us an amazing route.

Probably playing with fire but have add the recommended ini additions for MVL to in ini file and will move GodMode over to the DLC folder so it loads even with mods disabled.

I'm not a fan of scenarios usually. I'll do them to trigger a mastery or trophy but "It's a baaaad Experience" was a definite highlight. I won't post any spoilers, but it's definitely fun.

This route is a highlight for me, My PS5 so far has dealt with it absolutely fine.

One thing I just observed. Loading into a save game the GSM-R in Expert mode is blank/off. Looks like it's not saving or loading the status. I'll try and set it back up again at the next stop.

I would say that all previous maps, when you jump to 2D Map, the FPS indicator immediately drops to red values or at least drops to half. Here with this map nothing happens and it still runs at 60FPS.....interesting

Just noted in running a light 66 service from Woo Junction, coming into Aylesford you pass a Morpath board where the freight speed comes down to 35. This is not being shown on the mini HuD so no way to know where the limit begins. Another thing, when you come out of photo mode the screen goes weird for a bit, like under the ground looking up at the train.

Just wanted to drop some feedback after doing a few runs. First off, massive props to Firefly Studios. The route is absolutely gorgeous and the scenery really feels like a step up from what we usually get. I am playing on PS5 and the performance is smooth. It is not laggy at all and I have not run into any blurry textures.

I also did a night run with fog and the lighting is fantastic. The light cones shining through the mist are really well done.

It is a bit of a shame about the quiet train audio on PS5, but I read that this is already a known issue and with Sony now. Driving with the window down it is for now!

There is one thing that kind of kills the immersion for me though. The 'Objective Complete' text popups keep showing up. I know we cannot disable these ourselves and that it is an option set during the build of the route. On most official routes this is turned off by default, but it seems like most third party content has it turned on, which is a real shame. It would be great if a core update could just give us a master toggle for this.

But all in all, this release is just a general step up in content compared to what we are used to. It is a beautiful route and a really solid release!

I noticed earlier when i was doing a run from Aylesford aggregates to gravesend that there didn't seem to be any speed limits shown on the mini hud and only noticed when I was suddenly way over the speed limit. I can't remember which service it was though and didn't try any more from freight runs so I'm not sure if that affects all freight or just some services.

Something that I’ve noticed on series X is that when you go into the 2D map fps drops ALOT (to red around 15-20). This could be for all platforms as I’ve seen others mention this.

Also, something that I really hate about this game is flickering/loading in fences when you approach at such close distances. It’s the same with ALL of the vegetation popping in, it really makes it look much worse than it should be even on a very scenic route like this. Not sure what it’s like on pc (probably mods to fix this) but on console it’s quite annoying. However I reckon like a lot of issues it’s out of firefly’s control and is a core/DTG issue.

It's the anti aliasing software the game engine uses.

Another thing I’ve noticed is the fire extinguisher inside the blue shed at tonbridge west yard seams to already be collected so it says I have 14/15.

Differential speeds don't appear on the mini-hud - Its always been the case, on any route unfortunately

I've only just spotted one minor issue, when it comes to opening and closing cab doors from the saloon, the other door seems to shut whenever I open the actual cab door. I tried reopening it then both got stuck. Nothing major but still something worth noting.

Is anyone else noticing issues with the lighting for this route on console? Having done a few more runs on Xbox SX and whatever time of day, cloudy or clear, the lighting is overexposed to the point it creates a constant fog. I even tried turning off volumetric fog thinking that might be effecting it somehow but no joy. All the other TOD4 routes I own don’t have this issue so not sure what’s going on here?

I am really enjoying the extra details Firefly has added though and the audio is great but I might stick to night runs for now and hope it can get fixed with an update soon.

    How quiet is it?
You shouldn’t really be able to hear the traction motors much from the cab.
