    https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...-–-update-for-supported-game-platforms.98920/

    Sadly I have the PS4. :(

However I have a question. Why is the PS4/PS5 vs Xbox different, in this regard?

By this regard, only answer why progress can or can't be transfered depending on platform.

    Please and thank you

Is there anything that an end user could do to pressure (or vote if already suggested) on Sony to reconsider their move.

I think it is difficult. You could pressure to make changes in the next iteration of the Playstation, so you could transfer from PS5 to PS6 (when it launches) but I doubt at this point they are gonna make any change about PS4 to PS5.

TBH I dont understand why they did that, or why they limit the simultaneous load of DLCs.

Please tell me more about that.

What do I say to them?
Where do I say it to them (does it have to social media [exs X, Facebook])?

Since the PS5 is still supported, why is that?

    Please and thank you

When it comes to things like save files, DLC structures, etc. Sony is pretty adamant about remaining Not Like Other Girls™

You don’t say anything. You can’t change it at Sony’s side. Other games that allow transfer of game data do so via the game developer so the people to complain to are DTG but many have already and nothing has changed. I think they may have briefly looked at making it possible a while back and for whatever reason decided it wasn’t going to happen. You are highly unlikely to change anything now.

Its a long story. You can get the basics in this old thread, and you can follow up by doing some searches in the forums. To partially solve the problem for the time being, DTG implemented an Add-On Manager that decides what needs to be loaded and what not at runtime. This alleviates the problem, but it does not completely solve it since the limit will eventually be reached again at some point.

Social media is probably your best bet. What you need to tell them is that other platforms handle the port of savegames from one version of their hardware to the next automatically while PS needs the developers to engineer their own approach to do it, which many times ends in savegames just not being ported.

Because PS4 is not, and most of the users that are going to jump from PS4 to PS5 have done it already. It makes no economic sense to invest in changing that now. Also keep in mind that any changes on how the transition from PS4 to PS5 works now can lead to new problems (bugs, unexpected behaviors), and if that happened users and 3rd parties would not be happy.

Not really. Sony is handling this worse than all their competitors, so that's on them.

Thank you for posting this. DTG is at fault here, and this has nothing to do with Sony. Numerous PS4/PS5 games that my son has enabled him to transfer his saves from PS4 editions to PS5 editions of the same game. DTG simply chose not to implement this, and I have been complaining about it for years. Here’s hoping that they don’t make the same mistake if we ever see a PS6!
