It is immediately noticeable that the sounds on LIRR are broken in the preserved collection on PS4. The M7 does not have the distinctive whine when setting off/coming to a stop.
So it turns out that the whine is there but it’s quieter than usual and wasn’t present in the introduction. The general train sounds are also very low as well as the horn, which is extremely quiet with the window open on the M7 like the M3.
All your preserved stuff is available now? I checked about 20 mins ago (UK) and didn't see them in the Dovetail Store tab
The preserved collection is an unbelievable bunch of bugs. Sound is broken in almost every single route (F40PH in Peninsula Corridor, 377 AWS in ECW, ecc. ecc.). Not to mention issues with textures, pixelated clouds, etc. etc.
ildario77 Edited your post slightly to remove inappropriate language, absolutely nothing wrong with voicing your opinions but please try to remember to keep your posts clean and in line with the forum rules.
I removed my post because I'm not getting drawn into another length debate with you about the same issues.
There are several posts about sound issues, wrong signals, bad textures, bugged interface on preserved content, but I didn't read posts from you there. Ok, that's fine. And sorry, DTG Natster, for my inappropriate language. I'll keep it in mind.
i agree i find the sounds to quiet on LIRR and on RSN. it looks like to me its the in game sounds. the sounds are just as quiet as the games opening video i can hardly here that. i also checked on TVR and the sounds seem ok to me but i only did the tutorials i havent tried any scenarios. im on PS4
No, they do test them.it's just that when it goes out of their hands, that's where the problems start.
I have noticed on PC that the sounds are quieter on the M7 with the window open than closed. This includes the horn and the traction motor noise as well.
I don't find the sounds low in general, but opening the window definitely does something odd, for a split second the sound increases and then returns to the same level as when closed, and as mentioned the horn is near silent with the window open.
For me, the sounds are nowhere near the same volume levels as they were in TSW 2020. The M7 was, in my opinion, one of the most distinctive sounding trains in the game, but now it’s barely different to the M3. It’s a shame because the M7 sounds awesome.
The main issue I have noticed is similar to that with certain sounds on ECW. It's really clear that the sound is looping but there's a pause in the audio loop. It's very noticable with the M7 when outside the train whilst stationary; the fan sound keeps stuttering. You can also notice the audio looping issue under acceleration and deceleration of the M7; again, the audio keeps cutting when looping.
Same here on Xbox, a little frustrating that not only are existing bugs still in the routes, but now there appear to be these new ones too.
And if there wasn't so many people saying they had problems, DTG wouldn't know what problems that need fixing.
I notices that the propulsion sounds are basically muted in the scenarios. The timetable trips seem to be fine.
