Hello, As far as I know (and Wikipedia ), the Br 420 is back in service on this S-Bahn, since June 2014, so why not bring it to TSW? The Br 420 is a very old train, it's crusing around in germany since the 70s. But of course it has been modernised several times, so now it looks like this: With new doors, a new paintjob and a new destination panel, it will fit well on modern routes, like HRR and RRO. The Br 420 can also be used on other S-Bahn routes, like munich. With it's different sounds and cab design, it would be a nice alternative, for S-Bahn journeys. It is actually available in TS, but not the modernised one and it has very few features, only the bare minimum. So that are my thoughts on, why this train would be awesome for TSW, I hope I could give you a good look at it and maybe, we will see it some time in the future Best wishes, Ralf
that's a good suggestion, but TSW wants to make the game as realistic as possible, so the BR 420 would be unsuitable for the route. it would be good for me personally if the BR 420 is on the route. today there drives the DB BR 1440.
This Trains drives only on the S68 from Wuppertal Vohwinkel to Langerfeld for S-Bahn Rhein/Ruhr The rest is done on services
Hauptstrecke München Augsburg would be perfect for the 420! They're driving there as I'm writing this and they even got LZB now!
That sounds fascinating. But why does non of the stuff in that post appear on the roadmap? And who is Maik Goltz? (Sry if that's common knowledge but I was never in the PC train simulation scene)
This is Maik Goltz from TSG or how the name is for his Company. He also create for train simulator and helped DTG with TSW trains
Ah, thank you! But do we have any idea why the 4 projects he's talking about (Br 420, mainline diesel loco, switcher and a DMU/EMU for those that don't speak German) are not on the roadmap?
He said I think there is a problem with DTG and the Third Party Project to Update this things and included this on the Roadmap in the correct time
It’s probably the BR 218 for Hamburg-Lübeck like on Train Simulator for this Route as separate Dlc, to have mixed Passenger Service with the BR 112 and Dostos. There is no other German Diesel Locomotive for the other Routes in real Life for Passenger services.
I agree that a Br 218 is the most likely (I‘d say it‘s the most iconic German diesel loco after the V200). But do we know that it will be loco dlc for passenger services and not a freight loco dlc?
In the past, Ludmila often hauled passenger trains, today it is sometimes used in freight traffic or as a special train
TSG is apparently developing a 420!!! Wow, what a great surprise! Funny how it wasn't on the roadmap. Might get added to SKA or most likely HMA.
It is well. Now DTG needs to fix the RAM issue on the consoles. Otherwise, this DLC as an additional layer will be unusable.
Wonder how it's gonna work on consoles with the memory constraints. Unless they make it a substitution for the 423 and add no new services (Like they did with the M3), it's gonna make performance horrible.
I would expect that because the game timetable already matches the real timetable of the route. And there are no new S-Bahn lines to add. Every other line ends at Pasing or at Laim and it would be kinda sad to just drive the 420 on that small section.
We don’t know what route it will be for yet as far as I know, or if it can substitute into other routes. I just hope that wherever it goes it works properly on all platforms.
How can you know that yet? It's the train from Munich, but you cant say to the people, that it will not run on other routes. That's on me or DTG to tell at least, not you. I will try both variants. Substitution is a thing tat will work definetly and also makes lots of sense. Extra layers i dont have any clue yet how it can be done and if it will work. That's something to discuss with the team at DTG at a later time. The train is already in developent and it will need alot of time anayways. So dont worry yet about those things.
Because you said on Facebook you guys want included only the München version for MAG from the 420 train. And no S-Bahn Köln Design
But we need time schedules for S12 and S13 and it’s a Lot of work. And the S19 schedule is also not correct on Köln to Aachen
Well, word spreads fast on the forums and that picture of a German messenger chat in some thread (can‘t remember which right now) sounded like the Br 420 would only work on HMA (or is it calles MAG?). People like to speculate (myself included) and that is unfortunately not always good thing. But this assumption was not unfounded. That sounds great! Edit: This is the thread I was referring to. The very first post.
