Certainly Bakerloo is uninteresting enough without the typical frequent traffic on the line. I barely use it now, if we never get the extra services I suspect I will barely touch it again. I wasn't that excited about an underground route in the first place and this is why.

However, it isn't a broken promise. I don't recall them saying "we promise we will add the extra services"! It was an intention. Surely if the despatcher can't handle it, it is better for them not to add the extra services than create more problems.

You can guarantee those moaning now about "broken promises" would be the first to be hammering on their keyboards with anger if they had carried on and added the extra services and caused the game to crash.

This happens when making any products, you find certain things don't work when you try and implement them. It is reality not some fantasy world where everything is perfect!

They said they were looking at it and working on it. For some people that's a concrete promise enforceable in law...

Nice to know that I'm not the only one thinking HRR is thw worst german route. Unfortunately it's too short and furthermore the abrupt slopes changes of the tracks make the train nearly jump if you are running 120km/h or more .... very very bad. The S-bahn service is quite fine, but it's definitely the route I've used the least amont the German ones.

They are fun features if you are into that and i respect everyone who uses it.

Personally i like authentic simulation and dont enjoy painting a ICE3 in GWE livery and pretend its a Class800. I dont need a gold medal, earn action points or use a mastery system.

So i agree time should be first spend on important things like fixing the sounds or big bugs.

But hey thats just my humble opinion:)

Sound engineers may not know how to program signals, or scheduling etc and vice versa
Bug fixes may involve many specialist programmers
It's not an "either or", but a "what can the various teams be working on to improve or fix the game which falls within their specialties"

You are right every team has their own specialities. I must be patient.

I get what you are saying totally but, for me, the hustle and bustle are the passengers and I would rather see more of them on the route

Only way I can see them getting this done is to reprogram the whole system of passengers, maybe have "time of day" and "weight of station" settings so that they can move and interact in blocks rather than the individuals we have at the moment. Overloading with individual assets which have space and collision issues means there is limited interaction, but let's face it on a crowded platform of a morning you don't have much interaction possible except for maybe the people pushing along at the back

I wonder if there’s a way to spawn quicker or earlier, just find that most people seem to only arrive as you leave

Glad to see audio improvements for the Preserved Collection coming, along with livery editor support. Speaking of which, I see the Baby Bullet specifically mentioned for Peninsula Corridor but please don’t leave out the MP15DC!

From what I've seen this is because the passenger spawn points are at the edge of the tile and they only start to spawn when the tile loads.

The way round it (from my train of thought) would be to have "a block of passengers relevant to station load, biased by timeframe" already in situ when the tile loads that are supplemented by the spawners, but I'm sure DTG have thought of that

Maybe you aren't a fan of editor but for people like myself who happen to be good with it it allows an opportunity to increase our options of trains without having to hand over wads of cash for new locomotives. It's fun to paint things and it would be more fun to share them with others. Also I happen to like being able to paint things I have seen in real life but I know will never be made due to licensing issues. Yeah the game needs fixes too but don't discount that aspect of it lol!

If dtg gave customers an editor, they can indeed make their own content and trains and not have to spend $20 on trains and $30 on routes. I agree with what you said. At least dtg are now working on giving players the ability to share liveries and scenarios via cross play which is cool and a welcome feature

I wonder if they’ll do the Dual mode diesel locomotive for the Lirr and add a diesel Branch line in the future of the Lirr like Babylon to Montauk or Jamaica to oyster bay or Hicksville to port Jefferson.

They didn't come this time round because they didn't want to start speculation whilst they are all on holiday and can't make it more clear what it actually is

Skyhook are making an DB BR 187 and irl it has a one mile thing to make it able run a bit on something else then electric so maybe in the future dual mode will exist

That’s right, but not 800 times with any hint of the merest mention of LIRR or just randomly and off topic like here. It’s spam.

It calls Last Mile Diesel. And it enables the loco for action in non electrified freight yards. For that they have an additional diesel engine with around 500 hp. I think it will not be easy to make it for TSW2, but it would be very nice. We will see if the last mile diesel version of the Traxx 2 will be released for TSW 2.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the only un electrified yard in TSW2 the one in MSB? So unless the loco comes out for that route and happens to have services to that yard (the one the 204 uses, I can't remember which one) the last mile feature would be useless.

Of course maybe in Ham-Lub or another upcoming route there will be more opportunities for the dual mode system to shine

Also the TGV and the upcoming Class 395 I would imagine can't be too different on a technical level from a dual mode electric-diesel.

    Edit
P.S. I still think it would be a cool "demostration" if the last mile dual system worked, and I don't know for sure if there will be opportunities to use it, but it would still be a cool feature

You don't need it to be "just" the yards, this can be also used for some sidings and many of those are not electrified on german routes in-game.

Eventually, but the Baby Bullet MP36 is the 1st US DLC from the Preserved Collection to be available.

Cool! I'm definitely not an expert in this matter, hopefully it will open up more areas of at least its "main route"

On the topic of unelectrified places, I found this on RSN a few days ago while doing a scenario d5bc85c0-6a48-466a-ae21-c6991ee527f9.jpeg a8364463-b48b-4ead-bbc4-c62050dd5306.jpeg I forgot which yard this is but there is an unelectrified part (As you can see in the first photo, and the sign in the last photo)
Although I'm not sure if it's like that in real life though

Indeed it is. Now I can pretend that TSW2 is a Jon Voight simulator too by shouting at imaginary helicopters through the windscreen and scaring the living daylights out of Rebecca De Morney when there is a female NPC in the secondman's seat.

I am very happy the general sound improvements are currently being worked on.

I and many others have taken notice of the looping sound effect that certain trains make on the presered collection.
I have noticed this on almost all preserved collection routes and trains.

Hope it's fixed, it just does not sound right.

But here is a temporary fix:
When operating a train in first-person and the looping sound begins. Switch to any outside camera and switch back to first-person. This stops the looping sound effect. Likewise you would do the same but opposite if your using the external camera.

I do this all the time it helps, but I should not have to do that. It gets annoying, however I am happy the looping sound has been addressed and is being actively worked on.

I wonder if this one will be in the new format? Sam mentioned on the Oakville stream that he may not be able to get the new format in for this week's update.

I was hoping the new roadmap would be out already, but halas... I mentionned this to DTG in the recent survey. New roadmap should be posted earlier imho. Around noonish, or early afternoon. As they do it now, the new roadmap only gets posted a couple hours before the stream.

I’d second that. It’s been said that the Roadmap is agreed the Friday before, so a noon publication time would give us an opportunity for us to post questions and for those questions to be answered on the stream. That way those that have a question have a decent chance of getting an answer without posting the question multiple times in the stream comments.
