This service is broken if you start it via Jouney mode. After moving to first point marker for next point don't appear and timetable show On Foot instead SH11. Also the passenger train don't leave Hagen station. Via timetable it work as it should.
Same for me on PC. It also does not work in timetable mode. Workaround: Go on foot to the yard, enter the engine and then it will work. So the issue is in the timetable starting procedure.
Observing the same on PC. While starting in timetable mode works there seems an additional issue => see screenshot. And even though you can complete it successfully in timetable mode it won't mark it as complete in journey mode (though it does display the medal you got for it).
Would be interesting for DTG to explain during a stream how something like this can pass QA. I understand very well that testing something that happens midway through a service can be tricky given all the variables but this happens right at the start of a service and apparently across platforms. What was different between the test environment and what players observe? Dev build vs production build? Just curious...
Brought the German shutter for RSN today and I couldn’t complete the tutorial and Steel Gaze scenario due to throttle instructions not acknowledging my actions in the cab. Also in journey mode chapter one, the seems to be a mess up with instructions while coming to the end of a service. It says 3 wagons, so I did that and then told me to go to the reversing point near the log yard, with still wagons attached to the loco. I’m on Xbox by the way.
This is normal game behaviour. A Journey activity only counts as a journey activity if you play it from the journey menu. I do not say this is desirable, I do not really know if it was implemented like this intentionally.
To be clear: the additional issue I mentioned referred to the screenshot (pylon in the middle of the track) not the fact the completing a service in timetable mode does not mark the corresponding service in journey mode as completed (it probably shouldn't as circumstances could be different?).
Just out of curiosity I checked TSW 2020 for that pylon. Now guess what, it's just the same, nobody cared and nobody did anything about it ...
This was brought to Matt's attention during Wednesday's stream so hopefully this will make it to the roadmap now...
Hopefully. That's a shame that this DLC is not "perfect". Still missing the 3 scenarios in the journey to complete it.
Sorry for bumping an old thread, but can DTG Natster or DTG JD confirm if this bug, which has existed since release ever be fixed?
There is really nothing to confirm, is not working so this is a bug. What I'm also asking is a possible confirmation if we can expect a fix before we get too old
If Adam's team have just finished working on MSB, and will be turning their attention to UK and then USA content, it could be a couple of months before any further German content is looked at and anybody's guess if RSN and the associated content such as the 363 will be chosen, so it could be months before this issue is even considered for a fix. For something that was spotted on the day of release, almost 6 months ago, its already, been broken for a long time.
One year should have been more than enough if you ask me, but it seems that priorities lay elsewhere. If I had to put it, I'd say that creating new bugs in really every new DLC was among the top three ...
This is probably one of the oldest gameplay-still-broken DLC. Shame, because this is one of the best DLCs produced by DTG. Hopefully, this is fixed in any of the upcoming preservation crew updates. DTG Natster TrainSim-Adam
Unfortunately, all of the Preserved collection updates we have been told about are for routes, not DLC locos. Other fixes have been done, to the RSN base route, but if anything has been done about the 363 and its scenarios it hasn't been mentioned.
I don't think there has been anything done about this issue, I just tried to start SH11 a few minutes ago via journey mode. Still the same bahavior.
