I've been buying again ..... The AP Class 40. Well pleased, comes with cold starts, brake type selection, opening windows + doors & much more. A couple of shots from the Settle - Carlisle scenarios that come with the pack.
Rejected Shots from this weeks Screenshot contests, for some reason the rear grills on the F40PH stand out in foggy weather.... Goal was to make a shot based on this photo, But a consist based on this configuration with a Phase 1 SDP40F and a Phase III F40PH.
I don't see why Dovetail doesn't just sidestep the trademark or whatever. ATS manages it without issue....
Would be nice to improve graphics logic by rendering objects (textures) considering actual size on screen, and not distance in the world. Also rendering objects that aren't visible due to distance, but should be, considering teleobjective effect. Usually grass. I dare say it now because your shots are good, but I see terrible ones so often it even annoys me when it shouldn't. (About - Zooming with the mouse.)
Did somebody mention the Peak District? I've just been having a run on the "Peak Forest" inspired section of the fictional Vulcan Poductions Langdale route (the perks of being in-house) using some of my recently created Tinsley named Class 37 pack. These shots show 37415 Mt. Etna and 37426 Mt. Vesuvius working hard on a rake of loaded ICI limestone hoppers (available to purchase from Digital Traction in Wagon Pack 3). These wagons are WIP also, rusty reskins and loaded/unloaded variants with correct weights and improved bogies and braking characteristics - for improved on braking read VERY HARD, previously the wagons were 8 tons as opposed to 72 tons loaded.
..including the need to run in 32bit or it sounds rubbish. It's the most disappointing AP product to date if you ask me. I refuse to run in 32bit as so many scenarios baulk at the idea... and it sounds so rubbish in 64 with it's silly looped sounds that I can't stand it. It's on AI duty now.
Yes the Loco is from the Western Hydraulics pack, the route is China Clay For Export for the wagons etc.
I’m intrigued by all this: set up a separate discussion here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/sounds-looped-or-not.36203/
Little known fact, the people and dog are close enough faximilies of the main route builder and their dog, Diesel.
Fantastic, as you say little known fact. I love little details like that in a route. I get so bored running through endless miles of the same green fields etc. e.g. the old ECML. I get the fact the route is like that in the real world but the odd man & his dog, family out for a walk, Trainspotter etc. wouldn't hurt and would break up the monotony somewhat.
Alrighty, time for my next weekly collection. 1) Goodbye, Winter! A blue-grey BR Class 455 crosses the bridge at Farncombe on the Portsmouth Direct Line 2) Dry California - An Amtrak P30CH duo has just passed Cajon Summit from San Bernardino towards Barstow 3) Sunshine After The Rain - A green DB BR 151 takes its manifest under clearing skies from Hagen to Kreuztal 4) Wet From Sweat - A Union Pacific GP35 takes a rake of 30 flats from Sparks to Truckee, struggling to maintain half track speed
After browsing the thread on the Class 73 debate I just had to take Peter's advice and download the re-skins for this fabulous Class 73 that comes with the Class 460 Juniper download on Steam. https://store.steampowered.com/app/...twick_Express_BR_Class_460_Juniper_EMU_AddOn/
Did a quick run on Marias Pass from Whitefish to Essex, using a pair of ES44's an ET44 and a Dash 9. Also reminded that both of these are modeled in game.
I am working in a small capacity on a fictional route build which has been underway within Vulcan Production for 10 years!! My job comes when they want complex junction work laying. Here we can see our fictional junctions of our Birmingham New Street hut uike the real thing I wanted both tunnels to access all platforms.
They came with the Bulleid Q1 pack from Victory Works. They are available on Steam. https://store.steampowered.com/app/258678/Train_Simulator_Bulleid_Q1_Class_Loco_AddOn/
1) A Union Pacific DD35A takes empty hoppers through snow covered hills (NS Coal District) 2) A Kaiser Steel coal train between the beautiful mountainsides on the Rio Grande section in Utah 3) Every life matters, including the cactus in the middle of the road crossing (Amtrak P30CH) 4) A spring day just like Autumn - a blue-gray BR Class 101 amongst the hills of Somerset & Dorset
I find it amazing how swapping a stock loco for an enhanced version can really bring a scenario to life. A pair of AP Class 37s on a Bitumen Tank run to Barnard Castle.
The new livery for 43102, which is a final tribute to this record breaking locomotive.. which will be withdrawn in May
It's from Vulcan Productions. The "VP Class 73 Pack" from here.... https://www.vulcanproductions.co.uk/electric.html
Thanks. maybe this is a rather obtuse question, but does it apply to just one of the DTG or MKS 73, or both/any 73?
1) At the Top - Union Pacific ES44AC passes the Sherman Summit board during Introduction to Sherman Hill 2) Piggybacks in the Woods - A manifest navigates winding curves among mountain passes lined with pine forests in the 1960s 3) Vineyard Lines - An ES64U2 duo takes a gravel train to Cochem (between Koblenz and Trier) splitting endless grape fields 4) Rolling on Fields - A blue-grey BR Class 101 rolls downhill approaching Exeter
