I'm not using any safety systems, just so we can rule that out. Randomly on 'The Setup' scenario, I'll use the automatic brake and the PCS opens. I'm not hitting the emergency brakes. Is this a known bug?
***Edit: I just realized that you were talking about a different scenario from the one I was thinking of. Is the PCS Open light on before you start moving or WHILE you're moving?*** Yeah, I had the same problem. Just run through the PCS procedures and it should reset. Just in case you're not familiar with the procedure: 1.) Throttle at idle 2.) Reverser in neutral 3.) Independent brakes at 100% 4.) Train brakes on Emergency 5.) Wait for 60 seconds 6.) After the 60 seconds, set the train brakes to release Once all of those steps have been completed, the PCS Open light should turn off.
Well brake hoses don't magically connect themselves either,we have put aside alittle bit of reality sometimes.
well there IS a problem with the F402CAT where if you set the valve to "lead-dead" and the brakes to "cut in" when first setting up the locomotive the PCS will go on. releasing the brakes and then turning the valve to lead-dead solves the problem. when I first set up the SD40 I assumed that was the problem so I just did what I usually do and that was the end of that.
I believe that that is the case: cutting in the train brake with the handle not released. If you release it first, then open the valve there's no issue,
