This would be a huge project so it’s probably not likely to be added, but it’s just an idea. Plus, the branch line to London Victoria would have to be added on South Eastern High Speed. If this does happen to become a reality, it would really give the rush hour feel with tons of timetables on each part of the route and having to interchange between services, the entire route excluding the newly added branch line to London Victoria from SEHS would be 131 miles
I would see a Route Merge for BML and ECW (perhaps my South London Network suggestion too ), But not for SEHS as, you know, New sets of Tracks would be required. Maybe if the Chatham Main Line comes to TSW 2 someday, But not now.
Good idea and what you are basically trying to propose is a new bundle called Southeastern UK Regional pack Southeastern high speed East Coast way and the Brighton Main Line. SEHS can link to BML at London Victoria Station if Rochester to London Victoria section on the Chatham main line is built. ECW and BML link is at Brighton Station and lovers walk Depot.
If this was ever made, I could see myself using the 375 much more. Due to the fact that 375 services are quite short since they don't go to London, I mostly just use the Class 395. This is something I would like to see
I would love to see this. Even if CML was a £25 add-on and they just went ahead and merged them all. Heck, whilst they were at it, they may as well add the line connecting Lewes to the BML to sweeten the deal. I could see myself getting lost in an extravagant journey between St Pancras and Brighton via Kent and then Victoria. And, if your really pushing it, they could possibly build the connections to Bakerloo line, connecting to that at Victoria, which at another push could connect to GWE. But that's just fantasyland at this point.
CML and the Medway expansion were the first routes I played in TS (got it as part of a Humble Bundle) so I'd love for them to be included in to TSW2, even if it wasn't bundled with anything else. A combined SEHS/CML at the very least would be awesome, as would extending the SEHS to at least Ashford or even Folkestone.
I agree and for that to work Chatham Main Line needs London Victoria to Rochester section followed by Faversham to Ashford/Dover sections.
Maybe the ECW could be extended to Ashford with a 171 dlc then SEHS extended to ashford - completely unlikely tho
Great suggestion. If Chatham Mainline gets done this would give immense possibilities. If we ever get some South Western routes from Waterloo and the North Downs Line via Guildford to Reading we would have a superb spread of routes to use.
Thanks for telling me and for Rochester station DTG can link CML with SEHS for Class 375 London Victoria to Faversham/Gillingham Runs.
This idea must be supported. However, under the current production level and state, DTG is difficult to achieve. If the length from London to Edinburgh requires 7-8 DLC, even if calculated at 40 miles, it will only take 4 years.
I doubt this would take longer to make than the average route DLC. It's a case of building the section of the CML between Rochester & London Victoria and then linking them all up, the only obstacle here being that new timetables might have to be made, but I doubt that'd cause too much of an issue. As for ECML, that was split up in TS as well so I don't see the issue.
Due to timetable reasons, DTG does not plan to extend or merge routes. Delete some useless planning time.
Well I think if the demand is there for a "3+1" merge (3 being SEHS, ECW & BML, 1 being a new CML) I think they really should consider doing it. Especially considering that ECW is looking like it'll need a new timetable with the 313.
As far as I know, it has nothing to do with the timetable, but how they would get the routes to connect to each other. DTG wants it so that if you buy two routes that can be connected, the core game sees this and snaps the two routes together seamlessly, but they don’t have the capability to do that yet. Connecting routes is something Matt has said he wants to do, it’s just the icky techie stuff causing complications. Hopefully something newer versions of UE can aid with in the future.
Totally agree with the suggestions here. Makes me really hope that DTG have include the two-station branch line i.e. Plumpton and Cooksbridge on BML. Even if routes can never be connected, it's great for immersion to at least feel like you can drive between Victoria and Eastbourne, albeit with a route switch at Cooksbridge/Lewes.
What would happen is this you need to split the train at Haywards Heath then your half goes to Eastbourne/Lewes
