45428 "Eric Treacy". I actually have some photos of 45428 running loco only at Levisham early on a cold March morning back in 2016.

Here is my first entry. I've been told last week that screenshot edits are legitimate entries, so let's see what I can do with this painting-style northeastern British shot:

1913 - The calm before the storm

    Thanks guys.

NOTE: I re-dated the Ribecourt photo to November 1917.

Minor edit, I know. The Town was right on the frontline, but in october the town would still be on the German side of the no-mans land. The town (with it's rail station) would change hands in November as a result of the British Cambrai offensive and would remain on the British side of the front, even after the German counterattack of the same month.
However, the Germans would recapture it in March 1918, the British would take it back in Sept 1918.

So just my luck to pick such a "busy" wartime location for a screenshot.

Ok, wouldn't be a historic competition without a B&W early diesel. 3rd entry:

Here's a Crompton Class 33 (BRCW Type 3) with 10 GUV vans along the NWC in the 1980s, borrowed from the Southern Region, RailWorks64 2021-07-19 12-59-23.png
And just for the fun of TVs... (Not an entry lol).

Alright, tough choices to make this one. Great job for everyone who participated!
In Third Place, we have NEC Railfan with this great shot of an American EMU, which, to be frankly honest, I know nothing about. Cracking shot though.
[IMG]In second place we have UP13 with this great shot of 2 Bulleid Merchant Navies at Waterloo. Great shot mate.[IMG]In FIRST PLACE we have Ardaeshir with this dazzling shot of an NER Class O in 1917, what a shot mate.[IMG]Very hard choices to make but, it was great from all of you and I hope to see you all next week! And Ardaeshir, you get to judge this weeks Unofficial Screenshot Competition!

Thanks everyone, was a pleasure to take part and wow, that was my first victory in any Train Sim competition.

Historic settings arte actually my fav thing in Train Sim. But we just had "historic" as a theme and I want to make it an inclusive theme for all regions to enjoy...so the upcoming theme is:
    Summer Storm!

    ...no, not the 2004 film

Yeah they're what's known as the Class 1003 interurban cars, built for the Sacramento Northern Interurban, a sort of hybrid mainline/trolley car in my eyes. Many interurbans were built in the 1910s and 1920s, but a lot of them succumbed to the bus systems that rose in popularity during the 30s and postwar years (generally the rise of the automobile ruined the American rail system). Plus, it didn't help that many of these systems were bought out by a group of car-related companies and converted to bus companies.

Very deserving winning shot. Humbled by getting second considering the very high standard of this round.

Congratulations Ardaeshir on a terrific winning shot, well deserved.
Have to ask, where did you get that lowmac wagon with the little Steam Traction Engine? I just have to have it in my collection LOL

Well, it has some nice britsh steam era stuff, especially pre-grouping. Actually all the NER assets in the winning screenshot are from there.

Thanks for the link, just had to be done, cracking set of rolling stock.
Only downside it also cost me a Victory Works J21 (NER C) Class pack from Steam Sounds Supreme to haul them.
Well I mean it would be rude not to. ;) :D  Cheers

You can always get the NER O class like I did.

Which I would recommend. It is probably one of my fav steam engines in all of TS.
