Not exactly the best summer weather for a caravan holiday in Rhyl, North Wales. A Class 221 Super Voyager powers through a storm on the North Wales Coastal Route
9F "Evening Star" crosses the Tongland Viaduct on a wet summers morning running the Kircudbright to Dumfries service on the Western Lines of Scotland.
Currently creating a scenario that happens to be in the summer and is apparently 'stormy' (not that I can see it) so thought I'd quickly chuck a screen shot in here.
Dear All, Due to events beyond my control, I will need to adjust the time of closure for the contest. I simply will not be available on Friday or Saturday at all. As such, the submissions will close at 22:00 GMT, on Thursday July 29th 2021. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
A soggy Railtrack Class 2005 "Thumper" rolls through Brockley station on it's way to East Croydon on a typical British summers day.
G'd evening y'all, thank you for your participation. I was curious to see what will happen, nobody came up with a Gettysburg screenshot from the Hanover line line Well enough joking around, time to announce the results, 3rd place goes to Craigie-C, very British weather indeed! 2nd place goes to cscarpenter, for this great shot of heavy rain at Conwy Castle! 1st places goes to NEC Railfan for this great Amtrak double-header screenshot. The bright sky worked surprisingly well, the composition is topnotch and the angle of the rain really conveys a sense of speed and strong wind. Congratulations to all, NEC Railfan will get to choose this week's theme!
Theme would be BR 1950s-1960s as that was what was voted the highest. Anyway, great job for the top 3 and congrats NEC Railfan for winning
The winner of each week still has the option of chosing a theme for the following week, that is part of the prize for winning The poll for voting for a theme was only introduced after certain winners failed to respond with a theme of their own, and only comes into effect if the winner for the week does not respond. Hope that makes sense Cheers
