When reading between the lines they made use of the mainline & wembley yard tracks, so beside the highly increased services, a lot outside the lu tracks can be seen too probably.

Just cool to get an enhancement like that.

When they announced that they the roadmap streams were going to monthly, I just knew that this would happen. Long periods of silence and barely enough time to answer questions during the limited time of the livestreams. Not to mention that half the livestream is took over by (and I say this politely) useless nonsense.

When Sam was a community manager, that was the golden era of communication, updates & answers. Since he changed rolls, it has increasingly gone downhill, with us at the bottom again, with next to no communication.

The roadmaps were supposed to be informative, as well as offering more information week by week. What happened to that? Now its gone back to 'hush, hush, we can't say anything/if it isn't on the roadmap it isn't being worked on' rubbish.

Where has everyone at DTG gone over the past couple of weeks/months? Its feeling increasingly like a ghost town, with everyone just staying quiet. What have you all got to hide..?

    Genuinely it is interesting.
We have not had a blockbuster summer release...so we have not had this summer the chatter and build up.
They are doing the updates to the old games.
There will be a big hole in the finances this year?
    Interesting.

I'd say they are busy with the next version (TSW3) to try and bring a release for late September. Or could they be shifting focus to a more end of year approach to TSW? Say November early December Keeping in line with the big AAA titles (that's where the cash is). Yes I know TSW is not a triple A title as much as my brain tells me it is.
And dont forget they did say there would be a month of working on trying to get some bug fixes sorted as well.

Honestly I'm used to giving them leeway as they work hard, but like others have said since the drop to monthly roadmaps communication between the admins and customers have dropped alarmingly, Feels like we are calling into the void.

Right back to the old ways. It's so sad.

Transparency is out the door. No way in the past would we be left for 3 months let alone 2 months without more info than just "German" and "US" routes, we would of at least gotten the route coding by now.

I thought they were going to do more articles to replace the lost bi-weekly roadmap streams? There seems to be less articles now than ever.

Less community engagement than ever before. Now I know DTGAlex is still getting his feet wet and I have seen him reach out to the community recently to find out what he can do to rectify this.

Pres crew updates seem to have died off again since the one with the GWE update. Surely in these small patches over the last 4 weeks we could have seen 1 or 2 of the routes with small updates included. Seems like it's back to taking a back seat again.

And now fixes are coming out broken and breaking other aspects that were fine before. So back to us being QA again.

Yup back to where we were before maybe even worse.

No one at DTG - “if it’s not on the roadmap then we’re…., oh hang on they’re asking about the roadmap itself”

Possibly because of Staff holiday, sickness or Whatever.
Plus I suspect they are getting a bit busy in bringing us details of the next TSW (3) update as well
If you check in the announcements forum from Saturday you should see a post saying something like :-

Railfan tv schedule week beginning >insert month and day here<
See below for last weeks mentioning about the roadmap.

Hmmm, so instead of the normal choice of updating the roadmap on the 2nd, it's instead going to be on the 9th.

Computers and video game boxes are rectangles. You know what else is a rectangle? Squares.

The square root of 9 is 3. TSW 3 announcement confirmed :D

(I joke of course. But surely the deafening silence is leading up to something)

    Ah. But 9 x 3 is 27. Or read out loud Two’s Heaven. So they’re sticking with TSW2. :D

If this Roadmap was delayed by something as trivial as holidays or sickness they would of said so by now or rather they have said that as an excuse in the past. I'd like to know why delaying for one week what has changed?

Going back to the fortnightly Roadmaps people were obviously better informed even when nowt was on the Roadmap customers could ask questions which kept the player base involved. Then they switched to monthly Roadmaps to me this was not having to answer to the players. IMO they need to go back to a fortnightly Roadmap only call it 'Roadmap + Q&A' Involve the community but I doubt they will do this.

Now JD leaked TSW3 (which I think DTG are still upset about) and now resort to trolling us with 'fake' TSW3 filenames on various PC's trying to give the impression they had planned this all the time, yeah right. I would of thought DTG would be concerned at the player base not buying DLC? Cause why would you when TSW3 is round the corner or are they trying to delay it as much as possible?

    dhekelian See my post here.

It pretty much shadows what you said but in more detail. I also have a feeling quite a few people on these forums are feeling the same way.

Increasingly poor communication since the start of the year. This has to be a new low.

The lack of communication draws people to make their own conclusions and assumptions of what TSW3 means to our collections.

The conclusion Ive reached is that our collections (or at least some) are NOT going to port over, and DTG realise that as soon as they announce this fact DLC sales will drop significantly. I may well be putting 2+2=7 but if that happens I will not be purchasing TSW3 but will finish the routes I own and then look at other avenues to spend my money.

I really dont want TSW 3 at this point...well...they need to fix TSW 2 frist...and...are they really going to ditch with only one steam route so far....why not expand on the already existing game ? Cleary TSW 2 didnt fullfilled his hole potencial. Not only me but a lot of us invested a good sum off money into... Dont think i am going down for TSW 3...

I recommend to wait before making decisions.
Dtg would be really shortsighted to go back to the time of empty train stations, just in the moment the sim had a nice variety in rolling stock to create an interesting experience.

So there must be something else what we dont know

    GOOGLE TRANSLATE :

I don't think it's worth waiting for the announcement of TSW3 (the answer is "think about it"). These are the prospects for the future, not earlier than 2023.
I'm waiting for some more information about new routes from the roadmap (maybe they will give a code and also announce work on a new route to the UK). Maybe they will announce the release of a new batch of "saved collectible" routes, or maybe there will be an announcement of the DLS-BR120 locomotive for Munich and improvements to the BR187. Improvements to the BR150/2 are yet to come.

There will most likely not be a special summer package. I will be glad if DTG announces something bigger and more valuable. But I don't expect much. Most likely, the roadmap will be boring and will not live up to our expectations.

Big hint from Sam, saying it's mostly about people being away, but also because the roadmap next Tuesday will be "much more interesting" than a Roadmap last Tuesday would have been.

Or may be as they mentioned to make a "Big Surprise Announcement" ... probably they need more time to do it, due to some issues they have, or need to be completely confirmed.
Which not was possible for this week.

    Let's see!

I don't think that one week is decisive for the announcement of TSV3. Most likely, there will be no loud announcements. And the postponement of the publication date of the road map has a technical nature.

Just came back to the forum after giving it a miss for 6 months...nothing has changed.
Still a vitriolic cesspit of guzzling piglets, chewing the mistakes on the DTG teat.

Now a mistyped "3" from poor Alex, who now is the brunt of attention, 24/7. A newcomer to DTG, whose efforts are appreciated by the silent majority, learning the ropes whilst being verbally whipped by the perma-triggered, of which you are many!

Nothing DTG or Rivet will ever do will be enough for some of you.
    SMH.

Sounds very 9th gen as 8th gen is not the future of TSW. Just my opinion.

so, the tweet has the steam train as one of the three icons, maybe there is a steam route in the new base game?

Sam was asked about 8th gen on the stream and he said they're here for a few years still. So no they are not gone this year.

The next road map might hint at the new German route being an international one like Duisburg Oberhausen Utrecht 156 km or Duisburg Oberhausen Arnhem.
Tutorial for some trains like the Tri Voltage DB BR1429 189 408 must be at the Zevenaar Emmerich Am Rhein part of the route

Yeah I heard him say this but he wasn't specific. Did he mean in TSW2 or TSW3? I think DTG want to keep it vague for as long as possible.
