So yesterday I played (on XBOX Series X) TSW3 since the last update with this so called some quality of life improvements. If this small changes had been so easy to make why are there still (Würzburg-Kassel) trees floating in tunnels, sometimes bright spots in tunnels or a missing railing at a bridge popping in right next to the train? Another totally weird thing is that trains sometimes are invisible so you can just see the inside (for example the chairs or the engine), the outside is popping in at the moment you approach it. Sometimes I am asking myself if DTG is not driving their routes before releasing it because this bugs can not be missed. I hope the next updates will solve this bugs.
You will find a lively discussion here:. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/what-a-great-next-gen-experience-not.60469/ Basically the game on consoles is a mess with no acknowledgement from DTG of specific issues being worked on beyond a general "quality improvements". The only acknowledgement that we do have is their avoidance of showing the game in any promotional streams likely due to sheer embarrassment. If they bother working on improving the game on consoles, don't expect it to be in a proper state for many months.
I tried the game on my one x and I'll be honest I don't know how console gamers do it. I think I;ve been spoiled with smooth framerates but I found it so clunky with a controller.
smooth frame rates? PS5 and SeriesS/X is the same "smoothness" as PC. The controls are indeed clunky for a console game but normally I find mouse and keyboard very clunky to play games. With this game I can see how it is easier with keyboard and mouse. It's designed that way.
