Ny-trenton: Usa Content Is Still Severely Flawed

the bad news is I have to spent money now on the LIRR for Xbox X.

 

At first I was happy that they would finally make a normal LIRR. But sadly they are talking about NYT.

 

lets see. this might lead to hopefully something good for the LIRR in the future......not sure if that means a new LIRR DLC??

 

Lirr would have required much bigger work to the signaling

I’m lovin this timetable update. This route is becoming the route I hoped it would be

 

I did ask Matt it there was any scenery in Woodside station so many we can do playable services to and from Penn which we have those services already in the LIRR but no where near the amount of services that NYT will have. Those services from woodside would come out around 12 to 14 minute services. He answered "No plans to make that player derivable no, the route is New York westbound only".

 

This is all wonderful news, but I'm a little sad to see no updates on a patch for the pantograph issue or the ongoing cab signaling nightmare.

 

Not sure if we should start a new thread and post here but I think we need to provide videos and/or pictures of all the issues we have on the NYT DLC so hopefully we can get those issues fixed with the new timetable update, Some of the issues are the Pantographs on AI trains, lights on the interior being off on all trains. No drivers shown on AI trains especially the ALP46s, Doors staying open on AI trains, I even so the Acela being affected. No marker lights/headlights on AI trains, PIS on AI trains, Signaling. I know there're other issues I failed to mentioned.

 

We also have the following since launch DTG JD, DTG Matt : lights on the interior being off on all trains during the day making it pitch black inside going through Penn station. No drivers shown on most AI trains especially the ALP46s, Doors staying open on AI trains including the Acela. No marker lights/headlights on AI trains. they remain off , PIS on all AI trains off or not showing any destinations , Signaling and safety issues . I know there're other issues I failed to mentioned. Please let us know if you guys need more examples

 

Good to know to avoid this route still, saving myself from hypertension no matter timetable comes or not...

I recently ran into a glitch with Keystone 649 where Acela 2164 blocks your path. It can be fixed by restarting the game. It's always weird when the AI gets "stuck" in boarding mode. It's like if a portion of the train platforms at a red signal, the whole train will begin the boarding process, even if over half of it doesn't platform. DTG Matt, DTG JD below are some examples of the bugs on NYT. This is on XBox X but I have a PC also and is the same No AI drivers. Mostly happens on the NJT trains. Interior lighting off of the NJT during the day. They actually work at night. Tail lights stay off on all NJT

How great would it be if the release of the NYT timetable same day as the US July 4th holiday …..

 

Combine that with a 4th of July sale for those who don't already have the route, and I think you can sell a lot of copies and make some players happy during the holidays

 

Wouldn’t it be cool to eventually have loco pack 3 with the single level coaches and cab car, the comet and for fun a gg1 in Amtrak or prr livery.

Well, the Steam Summer Sale runs across the Independence Day holiday (6/29 thru 7/13 ), so that half of your wish will likely be granted.

 

Those would be separate loco dlcs not bundled together

 

No point doing a GG1 without vintage lightweight coaches (which would be desirable with the Santa Fe F7 and any late-steam era passenger locos anyway.....)

 

Amtrak's GG1's pulled Amfleet cars in the 70's and NJT had a few until the early 80's. A " legends " pack might be fun, if they threw in some E60's and maybe an AEM- 7 or two.

 

Lets be honest, DTG isn't making a pack with 2-3 "NEW" locomotives.

Also I'm not a big fan of these types of packs, I heavily criticized the ATSF F7 pack and would criticize this especially if it was running next to modern ACS-64s and the Acela.

But yes, the GG1's did run with Amfleets.

 

GG1s in Amtrak colors are a travesty, like Joe Namath in a Rams uniform. Those were Pennsy locos.

 

Plus if it had a new timetable we could see electric-hauled freight as well...

 

Well, Amtrak couldn't produce new locos out of a hat. They had to take what Penn Central and other roads left behind. They had to make do until the SDP40F's, FP40H's and AEM-7's could take over.

They weren't the only railroad that ran these ex-Pennsy locos.

Awesome to hear your team is taking their time. An update of this magnitude will require a ton of testing & it's good to see you're prioritizing that. Meanwhile, we'll wait for the all clear signal

 

I hope that's is the new NYT time table that they will be showing on Tuesday

 

They'll probably mention what progress has been made but not show it since it's a roadmap stream, not a preview of anything.

 

So ill take this as good news. I'm probably reading too much into it but this is similar to the bakerloo timetable last year.
Hopefully this would be a core update that could arrive in a couple of months

Good news bad new. Speculating, But I think Brandon is busy for the summer but the reason is not what we taught it was, looks like he's might working on NYT. nothing confirmed but that's what I gathered.

 

I recall he mentioned he was working on a project this summer if I am correct. Part of me wonders if this could be a new section of the NEC that is being worked on or the NYT improvement

 

It makes sense. Good news is NYT will be a great route. the bad news is don't think he's working on New haven or LIRR route

 

Remember when they advertised the route with the "improved" signalling, implying that it would be able to handle dense traffic? And saying that the timetable it lacking because they simply didn't have time to fill it in? So that was a lie, considering it needs core dispatcher improvements to function properly...

 

Lol Exactly, that "didn't have time to fill in" was nonsense of an excuse lol..Tried to tell yall when it comes to US passenger type dlcs especially involving around NYC...I believe this so called improvement to the timetable when i see it.

 

To be honest it could be worse. At least we are finally going to get the timetable we should had gotten when it launch. I remember last year with the bakerloo time table. It was first announced I. May and we didn’t get it until late September after almost a month after tsw3 launched. I think we are getting a middle staged tsw3 core update similar to the rush hour releas to hopefully fixed some of the issues that have been since launch. Last July’s roadmap was very similar with almost no content…..expect something first week in august

 

You can also go to the 1990s with X2000 AEM-7 E60s Amtrak with KWG giving the ICE1 to NEC. NJ Transit Arrow III and ALP-44 Comet I-IVs that includes the Arrow I EMU-based Comet IA.

 

I think we can expect the updated timetable sometime in August at a guess being realistic,it's still in testing if iam right ,still on a positive note it's coming!!

 

Whilst true, I still wouldn't buy this route. I am sick and tired of game companies like DTG cutting corners by rushing content and them literally lying to their customers faces about how the signaling can handle the increased traffic but then saying that it can't. I am also tired of seeing the potential that dtg can give to routes like these on day one wasted just so they can earn a quick buck and then patch it later in order to save face. Heck they basically copied and pasted the section from the old nec route from newark airport to penn station to this game after saying the old nec route couldn't be ported. From what I've seen at newark penn station, you can't go from one platform to the other because they didn't model the staircases and underpass to get to the next platform meaning you would have to cross the tracks to get to the other platform.

Had they had gotten the route right the first time, there would be no need to go back and redo the singals and timetable. At least this thread gave them the backlash and reviews that this route deserves

As far as I am concerned, they don't care about the quality of the product at all and no matter how apologetic they may get on stream, actions speak louder than words. If they would've gotten the route right the first time, then they wouldn't have to go back and sort out the problems with this route

 

Preach!!! I've seen the vids bout Newark Penn and they didnt even create and underpass to platforms lol....already a fail as usual!
