Does anyone else have a random section of track missing on the Cornish mainline? It's along 2 viaducts between St Austell and Truro. If anyone had this issue before and managed to fix it could tell me how that would be amazing. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the route and verifying the game files to no avail. Thanks
Sadly I have the same issue and could never figure out how to fix it. I wonder if it is a similar issue to the unbranded Welsh Marches route having 'missing' track
I had had the Just trains version and due to this and sent the DTG version.. Now it won't load the game crashes
All is fine on my installation (JustTrains version, 2D tracks.bin used) Also working with 3D tracks.bin
I wonder if this is similar to the problem with the Welsh Marches route where the Quick Drive Scenario cause some sections of track not to render? If you go to the same place in the Editor is the track also missing? I suggest you flag it to DTG https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/reporting-a-technical-issue.31193/
Can someone that has the tracks missing just go into the route editor, use the select tool on a missing track and post a screenshot of the flyout? And check if there is a difference when creating a FreeRoam scenario from scratch? Scenarios themselves can cause issues when done on a different route version, as every marker placed will store the underlying track properties in the ScenarioNetworkProperties.bin. Such as in the Allgäubahn QDs. Steam version using different tracks than RSSLO version - QDs shipped with Steam were created on the RSSLO version (using DBTracks) -> all sections where markers are placed are missing the tracks on Steam version. This can be easily fixed then, by removing the properties from the ScenarioNetworkProperties.xml using a text editor, which will then fall back to your tracks.bin, tracks reappearing.
I've just managed to fix the track, on the editor I just changed the track type from "unchanged" to the top option and it made it visible again. It would still be nice to find out how to fix the texture beneath the track though.
I'm not sure fixing this within the editor is the right way. You should not manipulate your tracks.bin to get it working - "Unchanged" means there is already track information present for that section. There must be something else going on on your installation. Again: Go to Build->Scenario and create a new Free Roam, so we can be sure the world is completely empty. Fly to that spot and report back. Note that if the Route files are not in an .ap file (MainContent.ap), you'll have to reinstall it because your tracks.bin has changed due to your edits. If they are in MainContent.ap (I'm packing all 3rd party routes that way to save them from accidental edits), you only need to remove the "Networks" folder to restore the route.
As I understand you have the Steam version, then it's best to do as Peter said and submit a ticket to support. I have a rough idea what's going on but as I don't have the files to check, can't help any further I suppose. JT versions works fine.
I havent gotten a reply from them yet and I contacted just trains but they've only really been telling me the obvious, "uninstall and reinstall" etc
