There are five branches southeast of the Jamaica station: Long Beach, Babylon, Montauk, Far Rockaway, and West Hempstead with four stations: Locust Manor, Laurelton, and Rosedale on the west side [Atlantic Branch]; and Saint Albans on the east side (every 2 hours, it's a limited service stop). There are six stations on the Long Beach Branch [including L.B. itself]: Island Park, Oceanside, East Rockaway, Centre Ave & Lynbrook; also includes the Valley Stream station, crossing over the Reynolds Channel Bridge between I.P. & L.B. started in 1880 as a New York-Long Beach railroad. At the East Rockaway station, there's a bridge crossing over the Mill River. And on the Babylon Branch, started in 1860 with 14 stations north of Sunrise Hwy [including Babylon station itself]: Lindenhurst, Copiague, Amityville, Massapequa Park, Massapequa, Seaford, Wantagh, Bellmore, Merrick, Freeport, Baldwin, Rockville Centre & Lynbrook (every hour). Service will begin to/from Penn Station; some trains on both branches going to/from Atlantic Terminal in Downtown Brooklyn [Rush hours], which means you must play eight-car set of the M7; on mornings, evenings & after dark: some trains will run non-stop between Babylon & Jamaica; some B.B. trains will start [westbound in the morning's rush-hour] & terminate [eastbound in evening's rush-hour] at Wantagh, Freeport, Massapequa Park or Lindenhurst [the 6:31am westbound train to Penn Station]; some trains will stop at Woodside, Lynbrook, and/or Saint Albans. They are local & express services on both branches, except L.B.B. on weekends, some B.B. weekend express service will run every two hours, stopping at Jamaica. There are 16 stations in Nassau County & four more in Suffolk County. Carried the M7 EMU & the future M9 fleet that serves all branches except Montauk, eastern Ronkonkoma (Greenport Branch), Oyster Bay (north of East Williston) & Port Jefferson branches (east of Huntington) on the north side has no electric fleet trains, just diesel trains. And yes the City Terminal Zone; stations inside Brooklyn, Queens & Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan. The first add-on is 26 stations without my proposal, this proposal (the future add-on route) is over 30 stations [33]. DTG should extended the stations by the future. Playtime: about 35-80 minutes on the Babylon side, and 50-60 minutes on the Long Beach side. I want to bypass the L.I.C. Branch. And, I want to the quick drive segment as well; just like TS on the computer for all TSW gamers can play any route with any train, and any schedule you want. By the end of 2022, some trains will terminate at the brand new Grand Central Madison in Midtown Manhattan underneath Madison Ave with new 8 tracks & 4 Island platforms, to reduce delays along the Harold Interlocking in Sunnyside, Queens (every hour west of Woodside). Yes! The Long Beach branch is something I’ve always talked about wanting. Whether it’s crossing the bridge right before entering the Long Beach station, variety of services or the many grade crossings and stations, the LB branch is a must at some point! It also gives us the opportunity to explore the whole other side of the LIRR and have the Atlantic branch finished. Now for the Babylon branch, it would be cool to have it but would kind of be like Hicksville in a way. Now, you might say that many trains terminate in Babylon everyday but it’s technically not the end of the line, just the end of the electric third rail. Instead of getting the Babylon branch, I’d prefer getting the Long Beach Branch, Far Rockaway branch and the Oyster Bay Branch with the highly requested DM30AC and DE30AC locomotives with the C3 cab car and coaches. As a resident of the Far Rock Branch, I desperately would love to see it and it would make sense to come with the LB branch because they both use the Atlantic branch (Locust Manor, Laurelton, Rosedale, Valley Stream). It would be really great to get that type of expansion at some point later on in the game because other parts of the US do deserve some attention but I would hope they revisit the LIRR at some point in the future and do this type of expansion!
Very good idea, would be good to see more services added to the Atlantic branch too so here's hoping!
The Babylon Branch would be awesome to drive from Jamaica to Babylon if Dovetail does creates a M3 Locomotive or the M9 because it’s all electric out to Babylon and then from Babylon to Montauk it’s desiel. I would love to see the Babylon Branch in the future on TSW.
I know in one of the scenarios on lirr they mentioned locusts manor being closed for engineer work so maybe someday they’ll include Babylon on one of the lirr Scenarios in the future.
Yes but, only if it adds on the existing LIRR route and not made separate routes like the New York and LIRR which should be connected.
All the M7 on Long Beach and Far Rockaway Branch go to Atlantic terminal and Pennsylvania station? True
Hopefully the Babylon Branch could extend to Mastic hopefully the Babylon Branch could extend out to Mastic-Shirley or speonk.
In change at Jamaica scenario you ride on a train heading to far rockaway, so I wouldn’t mind seeing the far rockaway Branch.
