    Great proposal.

I'm really in favor of adding complementary components like the Orange Line that aren't exactly part of the main focus of the route. That adds considerably to the immersion.

Same here very much! Like adding the PATH to NECNY, or even more gimmicky, the JFK Airport Train to the LIRR. Driverless. You could only ride it as a passenger, apart from some shunting in the depot perhaps.

Really good idea. There's just so many possibilities on this one.

DTG mentioned not only this route, but THE WHOLE LINE from Boston to New Haven in the November survey (see thread here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...the-november-survey-discussion-i-guess.15376/), but I don't know if DTG would ever actually make such a long route. This is a much better option, and I really like all the small fright branches as well.

The subway is also a nice touch, very different driving experience than other routes. And all of this on just one route!

(And nice Google Earth tracing... I end up getting carried away with those and making graphics out of them, never actually getting around to writing actual route proposals. Believe me, I have a few ideas here... too many actually, lol)

Thanks! Well if they're making the route longer than my idea was, why would I stop them! But honestly, if I had to pick between New Haven and the Orange Line, I'd be with the T. They can still expand to New Haven by extension for the DLC later on. :)

There's also something in it for DTG because the drive-able Orange Line/North Station commuter rail, MBTA commuter rail stock, and Acela are 3 opportunities for DLC that would require minimal additional effort and would be well worth it for me.

Yep! I could totally see the route coming out with only the ACS-64/Amfleet and CSX freighter we know already, one MBCR train and an Orange Line train. Later DLC could be an HHP-8, the Acela Express, the new orange line train they're currently rolling out, another loco for the commuter rail, the bi-level or single-level coaches (depending on what the route comes out with in the first place) and so on and so on.

If they do Boston they’ve got to include the Haverhill line.

They could sell this route for $50 with all the content. I love all of the different options, from Metro to high speed and everything in between. For freight I would suggest bringing over the CSX locomotives as an extra layer.

One thing I would add is being able to run both the new and old Acelas, but I understand that’s a lot of locos even without that.

Just a word from the wise, DTG probably won't directly respond to this thread anytime soon. If they see enough posts and general interest from the community though, they might take initiative like they did when lots of people requested the Bakerloo Line. Also this line might not be possible due to licensing, or maybe even social distancing restrictions (though I fail to understand how a cab ride has a high risk of exposure, just strap the camera on and let the train go). So I wouldn't be constantly pestering the crew about this yet. ;)

I think they would only do the NEC section. I don't think they would include the subway or branches.

Yeah it seems like they always leave out something even when it’s requested. But hopefully we could convince them otherwise; DTG needs a good route for once with lots of variety. Like I said, I’d pay $50 dollars or probably more if everything in this post was included, which is the MBTA subway and commuters, Amtrak high speed and regional, and freight services (which wouldn’t take much work besides adding a CSX freight layer ported from SPG). This would definitely be worth the money, and I’d buy it right away given these criteria.

Yeah. I like to the boston subway Sparks on the third rail, And I like to see if they Can use the PA system on the stations and Trains. drivers who use the old subway cars, uses the Microphone to connect to the PA System tell what next stop is. the new ones uses the Automated Pa systems.

Microphone would only be useful in multiplayer, if that’s coming to the game. I’d prefer just automated announcements being added until then, but maybe they’ll have multiplayer by the time they would consider this route, idk.

So if they Do The MBTA And Amtrak Dlc Pack with the announcements and the Overhead wires and the Third rail Sparks on roadmap 8 or Roadmap 9 or 10 in train sim world 2, they would do the live stream in YouTube in the future.

What gives you this info? Have they announced interest in this route? If they have, that would be great, but I feel like I would've heard about it, so I'm curious how you're getting this.

YES! YES! MBTA Commuter Rail and Amtrak NEC Between Boston to New Haven And Amtrak downeaster, Between Boston and portland maine is coming on Train sim world 2! For The Mbta, They might have the Single Cab Cars And Coaches, And the double Decker Cab cars, And Coaches. They can do the MP36PH-3C, Original F40PH, F40PH-2C, F40PH-3C, Gp40mc, And the Hsp, 46. They might add some non revenue locomotives for towing diesels or Coaches,
Or freight duties. And For Amtrak NEC, They use the Acela Express, Aveila liberty, ACS-64, HHP-8, AEM-7, And 9 Amfleets. And For Amtrak Downeaster, p42, 5 Amfleets and NPCU F40PH Cabbage, they might be south of Massachusetts or North of Massachusetts. But there's one Question. How did you know is the next Roadmap? I'm just curious. And there's one More question. Will they include the MBTA Subway lines?

Roadmaps happen every other Tuesday at 11:00AM Eastern. It will not be on a Thursday or Friday unless DTG says otherwise. I would love for this to be on the roadmap, but I think we might have to wait longer than next roadmap.

Licensing wouldn’t be a concern then. Perhaps this is Sam’s “secret”, but if not they can definitely do this in the future, having the Amtrak, CSX, and MBTA licenses.

Excellent idea and speaking of the MBTA Orange and Red Lines the new trains for them are CRRC Qingdao Sifang Trains made in Springfield, MA. Orange Line trains are the 1400 series video is by Caitsith810 & the other one is Red Line 1900 series

From Boston to New York, this middle distance is the best choice for the intended driving distance.

Here's the blue line. but it go third rail to overhead wires. Don't mind the silver line cause it rapid transit bus and the green line cause it's light rail. img_84341.jpg 34579246002_bf2e3c1b1f_z.jpg 6284515388_7ca1d83e26_b.jpg
