I have a strange problem where I can't pan the camera in cab view if I'm running the 64 bit version but can if running the 32 bit version. I have just reinstalled trainsim after not using it for quite some time and previously it worked fine. I have verified files via Steam which hasn't helped. I'm running Windows 11 and have a high spec machine which runs TSW and MSFS Flightsim on high settings without issues. I've tried running it in compatibility mode without success. The sim runs fine in all other aspects but its not usable without being able to pan in the cab especially for some trains where you must be able to move around in the cab to operate buttons etc.
There are two ways to move around the cab depending on how each loco is set up Using the Right Arrow key will usually take you to the offside seat on UK locos. Left Arrow if RH Drive. Some locos have other views in the cab depending on how that loco/unit is set up. I ran the MKS 73 yesterday and the view goes from Forward to Center desk > CSR > NRN > Secondmans side > Handbrake > AWS before getting back to the forward view. Other locos may only have two or three views But you can move the view with the Mouse so you can face another way. And having a High Spec Machine Does not make much of a difference in TSC due to how old the game is.
The problem is the mouse does not move the view in the cab in the 64 bit version but does in the 32 bit version. I have played Trainsim from before DTG days so I am well aware of what it should do and its limitations. The issue seems to have arisen with the latest version.
I'm using 64bit without any problems and I think if others were having the same they would have said something It might be worth reporting it to DTG https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/reporting-a-technical-issue.31193/
