The longest I've driven is Lancaster to Oxenholme. 2P88 is Lancaster to Windermere, which you drive as far as Oxenholme. 08:53 start, it's in the 101 2-car options.
But there are jobs on th 101 timetable that go preston to carlisle. But you cant actually drive the whole length witch I cant understand why not.
There was/is supposed to be an ECS from Oxenholme to Preston which was mentioned in one of the livestreams for the route before it was launched though it was mentioned offhand by the lad doing the stream and didn't give a specific working or timing. As for the Preston to Carlisle services which only go to/from Carnforth - that's because those services go around the coast and not along the WCML so they are there for partway
Has anyone else had the issue where you choose to drive a Pacer on a timetable service and when you spawn into the game, you're in a 101? It's happened to me. Service 5P88, Carlisle to Kingmoor Depot ECS.
Anyone done carlisle trip work (0T57). Tells you to couple to formation but there is nothing there to couple to.. Also confused now why is that only certain jobs are available with certain class 47s.
On 1011 Glasgow Central to Poole starting at 11:29, I'm always restricted to 100mph. Whenever the line speed goes above 100, the speed limit on the hub stays at 100. Non of the coaches were limited to 100 so not sure why I couldn't go above 100. There were 10 coaches including one MK1 brake van (limited to 110) I've not played the route in a while so unsure if this is prototypical.
I've just loaded that service up and it's Mk2a and MK1 BG coaches. This is because timetable mode randomly generates the consist. As it was a cross-country service it's limited to (and timed at) 100mph. When the 86/2 is released (top speed 100), it will be substituted into this service, along with the Mk2f coaches. If you want to do an 87 service that was 110 mph, select those passenger services from Glasgow Central to London Euston (and vice versa).
Another thing to remember as well is that if your train has a mix of Mark 2 and Mark 3 carriages, you're still only restricted to 100mph as your maximum speed is the maximum speed of the slowest carriage/wagon/Loco in your consist.
I'll try again because I definitely had mark 3s. I play on Xbox one so it might be different due to the changes made for memory restrictions
Is it possible you played a different service and got the two mixed up? Unless the game is adding them to random Cross Country services as there are some with combined Mark 2 and Mark 3 carriages
Just loaded up the exact same service and there was not a single MK2 in sight. I reckon it must be part of the gen 8 restrictions. So I only get services with second class be blue mk3s and a MK1 brake van.
Then as previously mentioned, run a Euston-Glasgow (or vice versa) service if you want 110mph services.
Why does this route always default to 5 june 86. I know its set in that year but why always 5 june and not current date.
Has something been patched on this route recently ? Never had a problem with it on Series X, and since moving to PS5 it's been absolutely perfect too. However, that's twice now in 2 nights the game has crashed on me mid route. First time was just north of Oxenholme, and tonight it crashed about 3 miles outside Carnforth. Game just freezes, then goes to the screen to report the error to Sony (for all the attention they'll pay !). Never really wanted to consider the option of saving the game every 5 or 10 minutes - as, let's be honest, you really shouldn't have to. However, might have no option if this is going to be a regular occurrence. Patience is really wearing very thin with TSW right now.
I play on xbox x i have no crashes yet touch wood. But since the last update for this route its stuttering and freezing. And a lot of starting jobs in random places and in the train.
Thought I was just as well to submit them so did so with the relevant video clips. Deleted all my content from the creation hub so I know it's not that. And both times it crashed it was the first game after switching console on, and still less than 2/3 of the hard drive is full. All very odd, but equally frustrating
Do you have any liveries from Content Creators club that would appear on the route? Say for example a 47 or 87 in a CC livery as I've heard that can cause crashes when the game tries to spawn them in.
I previously only had a handful of liveries downloaded (Northern 142, Scotrail InterCity and a Northern 170) but deleted all of them so the only liveries in the game are the ones that should be there. Will give it another spin tomorrow, and if happens again I might just try uninstalling the game and installing again from scratch. Been my favourite route since it came out, so hoping it's something that either fixes itself or can be fixed.
