The longest I've driven is Lancaster to Oxenholme. 2P88 is Lancaster to Windermere, which you drive as far as Oxenholme. 08:53 start, it's in the 101 2-car options.
But there are jobs on th 101 timetable that go preston to carlisle. But you cant actually drive the whole length witch I cant understand why not.
There was/is supposed to be an ECS from Oxenholme to Preston which was mentioned in one of the livestreams for the route before it was launched though it was mentioned offhand by the lad doing the stream and didn't give a specific working or timing. As for the Preston to Carlisle services which only go to/from Carnforth - that's because those services go around the coast and not along the WCML so they are there for partway
Has anyone else had the issue where you choose to drive a Pacer on a timetable service and when you spawn into the game, you're in a 101? It's happened to me. Service 5P88, Carlisle to Kingmoor Depot ECS.
Anyone done carlisle trip work (0T57). Tells you to couple to formation but there is nothing there to couple to.. Also confused now why is that only certain jobs are available with certain class 47s.
On 1011 Glasgow Central to Poole starting at 11:29, I'm always restricted to 100mph. Whenever the line speed goes above 100, the speed limit on the hub stays at 100. Non of the coaches were limited to 100 so not sure why I couldn't go above 100. There were 10 coaches including one MK1 brake van (limited to 110) I've not played the route in a while so unsure if this is prototypical.
I've just loaded that service up and it's Mk2a and MK1 BG coaches. This is because timetable mode randomly generates the consist. As it was a cross-country service it's limited to (and timed at) 100mph. When the 86/2 is released (top speed 100), it will be substituted into this service, along with the Mk2f coaches. If you want to do an 87 service that was 110 mph, select those passenger services from Glasgow Central to London Euston (and vice versa).
Another thing to remember as well is that if your train has a mix of Mark 2 and Mark 3 carriages, you're still only restricted to 100mph as your maximum speed is the maximum speed of the slowest carriage/wagon/Loco in your consist.
