so TSG just announced a new gameplay pack for SFS kassel-wurzburg and i gotta say im very happy that the ICE T and flixtrain vectron will finally layer onto this route and even a new free reskin for the br101 aswell which is always nice to have
Yes, totally hyped for this one! Looking at the pictures with wrong track ops and written order makes me want more
I hope there is more to come for the 101 like new timetables, I tried driving the default version a couple days ago and I just couldn’t do it lol
i also noticed that with the screenshot of the br101 pride month livery that ICE in the background doesnt liike like the usual ice 3 br403 bc that top part is very high which means that we might get the br407 maybe?
yea just found out aswell bc of the round windows on the door bc the 407 has squared ones instead of round so MB
Wrong track running and written orders will be a treat and push the 101 even further towards realism (now more on a railway operational level instead of the focus on the technicalities of the loco). That’s great! I’m not entirely sold on a new timetable though because of the recent issues on consoles. I still can’t run the expert 101 on Frankfurt - Fulda on PS5 as the game crashes every time - the 101 tips the route over the edge into crashing. I’d like to have confirmation that this timetable was properly tested on consoles.
That sounds great; aren't we still waiting on a batch of over 50 bug fixes for the 101 Expert Loco itself though? (I'm referring to this: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...leshooting-steps-and-bug-fixing-status.83596/) I haven't been able to finish the first set of guided activities due to one of these bugs.
I believe it was confirmed on discord that these fixes will finally be released in prep for this pack…
btw an off topic question but can you actually buy the expert br101 without owning salzburg-rosenheim bc i dont have rosenheim sadly but i do have nahverkehr dresden where it also layers onto
Yes! You can have it and it layers everywhere it should layer, given that you own the routes (but you don't need every single one)
alr thanks for youre answer the only routes i currently dont have is the new frankfurt s bahn mittenwald and salzburg and thats only it so

Why is there this fetish for everything being "free?" No, it's NEW stuff they created. They had to pay people to make it. You don't get free gas and repairs for your car forever just because you bought it years ago. Do those people deserve to work for free? We can argue over what is worth the cost... but unless you support slavery don't expect everything in life to be "free." Someone has to make everything and they deserve to be paid for it. If what they ask is too much, then just don't buy it. EXPECTING things to be "free" is just selfish. Do you go to work every day for free?
People not familiar with the software industry still conflate support with new features. Yes, support should generally be free for some length of time beyond its “go live” date (but not forever). When new projects are undertaken that don’t involve fixing something, they add features to the product, they improve the value of the product, etc… those generally shouldn’t be expected to be free. I don’t really blame people for being confused though
Yes. If there are bugs in the Expert 101, they should be fixed for free. New scenarios are not a "bug." =-)
The pride livery is for free, that should please a lot of people And I can imagine with that DLC they might bundle some bug fixing with it.
So basically we get the bug fixes and the new livery for free. But if you want the new timetable, featuring new trains that are not on ths original timetable, which we know is alot of work and time consuming you have to pay. So yeah I get why we are paying for this thats fair and we don't even know the price yet sonwe can't say its too much. To me "this is not the DLC you are looking for" it should be the HSP46 pack on Boston Sprinter. Right now it sounds like all they are doing is adding the HSP as a substituition in the existing timetable with a few sce arios thrown in. No word on if its a new timetable and if the signalling will be fixed. That DLC seems to be the cash grab.
Bear in mind the expert 101 (which I don’t own) will probably be in the 40% discount price zone come the Steam sale in a few weeks time. So that might sweeten the deal a little.
