Hello all, I'm here to announce my final scenario (and release) on Train Sim World 5 :(, 7621 Southeast on Harlem Line :).

This scenario is the 'sequel' to 7600 Yankees, which released a few years back :o.

    Scenario Name: 7621 Southeast
    Route: Harlem Line
    Train: M7A MTA
Route covered: Yankees-East 153rd Street to North White Plains
    Duration: 45mins
    Difficulty: 2
Scenario Storyline: Drive the rare Harlem Line service that serves Yankees-East 153rd Street between its origin and North White Plains, where another engineer will take the train up to Southeast. (It is recommended that you play with safety systems on, as you'll have lots of fun with ATC as the journey goes on.) Enjoy the quieter run along the Main Line engineer!

    Anyway, WIP shots await...

Here is our service awaiting departure from Yankees-East 153rd Street on the 'rare' Harlem Line service that serves here :o.

Here we join the Main Line from Grand Central at this triangle junction. Just need to wait for an inbound Harlem Line service from North White Plains to pass though...

I love this shot at Tuckahoe! It just works .

Any evening railfanning at Scarsdale anyone? Tough luck, as it is nearing the end of service :|.

    Scenario Link:

I just want to thank every single one of you who have played any of my scenarios, or used any of my liveries throughout Train Sim World 5's game cycle. I have made some cracking liveries; I've made some howlers. I've made banging scenarios; I've made boring scenarios. Regardless, I thank you for putting up with me for another game. But alas, as one door closes, another one opens...

This is not the end of the line for TG08; but it is the end of the line for TSW5 content, which has now reached the buffer stops. This is where the TSW6 content takes over. I'll be taking a well-earned two week break from publishing any content whilst the games cross over. I'll be back on release day of TSW6 to announce my first piece of content to be released on that game.

But don't leave yet, I do have a couple of things planned over the next two weeks to keep the thread active during the creation downtime. Do keep an eye out for those too!

But from the buffer stops of Train Sim World 5, I'll see you at the other side of the tunnel where Train Sim World 6 awaits...

Expect the unexpected! 30th of September, you know the date!

Year In Review (so far) - July to September 2025:

Hello all, TrainGeek08 here, and today I'm going to review how well I think my creations have done throughout the last few months. This is going to be a long one, and this post is a true representation of how I feel the mods I have released so far have done.

WARNING: I may sound harsh/critical at times, either to myself or to subscribers of my content. If this is the case, this is not against any of you individually, but instead as a general consensus. Think about it as me being harsh to myself for thinking you all would like particular scenarios or liveries. It is not designed to blame the subscribers of my content but myself as the creator. Thank you. (In other words, it's just me being open with you all for once ;).)

NOTE: All subscriber counts are as of the creation of this post, so they may have changed if you view this post in the future.
SECOND NOTE: Formations are not being included in the list (for obvious reasons).

    LIVERIES:
    JULY:
    EWS - 24 subscribers

    AUGUST:
    47077 'NORTH STAR' - 21 subscribers
    GBRf '66783' - 38 subscribers

    SEPTEMBER:
    London Midland - 24 subscribers
    CAPTRAIN - 7 subscribers*

*released yesterday (as of the date of this post)

TrainGeek08: The livery side has done better in recent months than before, which makes me proud of my work again :)

Let's start in July. The subscriber counts are okay for July, but I only have one livery to use as a reference. It was an easy livery to make, and I'll take the subscriber count personally. After a rocky June, all I hoped for was a better July in terms of liveries, and even though it wasn't what I desired from you all, I appreciate those who have subscribed.

August then... For once, I'm very happy with you guys! August went brilliantly in terms of liveries; they were detailed because I used some new techniques which I rarely did before and the subscriber counts seem to translate that. Detailed work gets more attention. I'm very impressed following how June and July went. Overall, I'm satisfied with how 66783 went in particular. NORTH STAR could've done slightly better, but I'll get onto why it didn't later on. Hopefully the good momentum continues into September, and the end of TSW5 content...

Into September. That good momentum has continued with the release of my final two liveries for TSW5. I know that I cannot really rate the CAPTRAIN Euro Shed (as it released yesterday (at the time of this post)), but the LM livery went really well, despite me personally not being happy with certain elements of the livery. Like I said before, it makes me proud to be a livery creator in TSW, and I hope to keep serving you all with some great liveries as we head into TSW6's game cycle.

SCENARIOS: (WCMLs SP is being reviewed separately)
    JULY:
    1M63 HFD-BHM - 28 subscribers
    1B67 CLE-MIA - 31 subscribers

    AUGUST:
    1Z58 LIV-PNZ - 8 subscribers
    Southern Midland - 11 subscribers
    9R18 PAD-RDG - 25 subscribers
    ICE1917 Koln Hbf - 13 subscribers

    SEPTEMBER:
    RJ257 Graz - 46 subscribers
    2P77 EDB-DBL - 6 subscribers
7621 Southeast - (not released yet)

TrainGeek08: Now we are talking. Onto my forte...

July was a good month for scenarios, following the end of June. The subscriber counts are around the average that I tend to get, which isn't something to shout about really. I'm happy that 1B67 in particular did great, because I spent hours and hours testing it to make sure that the timetable was being met and because of how many liveries I had to acquire from Creators Club. Was August better though?

Good question. Not really. What happened guys? The numbers at the start of August dropped off massively... I am very shocked to see this. It's not good enough... Like always, I'll take my share of the blame for not having the scenarios up to your standards, however in my defence, both scenarios were accurately recreated using Network Rail's Working Timetables. Do you not like WTT scenarios now or what :D? Anyway, as August developed, numbers slowly were beginning to stabilise, but overall, I'm not happy with how August went on the scenario side :(.

September then... doing better than August anyway. RJ257 smashed all the previous scenarios' subscriber counts pretty quickly. I was in high spirits about what's to come in September as TSW5's end becomes nigh. 2P77 dropped off though... not through any fault of my own (presumably), but more because of the developer who made the route that the scenario is set (again a presumption). Let's hope I can end off TSW5 on a high with 7621 Southeast eh?

    WCML South Scenario Pack:

Overall, the WCML South Scenario Pack went very well. I'm very happy that the approach of 'releasing one scenario per day over the course of a week' is better than 'releasing six scenarios at once', and will be implementing that approach going forwards with any scenario packs I do release in the future.

    How well did they do?

    S1 (1R09 WVH-EUS) - 149 subscribers
    S2 (2A15 HRW-ZEL) - 36 subscribers
    S3 (2T35 EUS-TRI) - 84 subscribers
    S4 (2C20 WFJ-EUS) - 120 subscribers
    S5 (1S26 EUS-GLC) - 10 subscribers
    S6 (2O51 MKC-SCY) - 75 subscribers

Those numbers are amazing! Clearly means that a) you like my scenarios on WCML South, or b) you like the variety in services between the scenarios. I tried to include a bit of everything in the pack, and clearly this must have contributed to the success of the pack. Very impressed indeed with those numbers .

    Reporting of My Content:
Onto something of major concern though now...

Over the last few months, I've noticed that a lot of my content (around 75% of it) has been 'reported' at some point. Most often it gets reuploaded automatically, but I've had 1 scenario that has been reported for over a month now with no explanation why. I'm really beginning to get annoyed and angry with this . Part of my frustration goes towards; the Creators Club interface itself for not giving players an explicit reason why their content has been reported, and also to the game/players who report my content. Regardless if it is done by the game automatically, or if it is being done by a player, then it needs to stop. It's really getting on my nerves at this point as I try my best to avoid putting in 'profanity', 'intellectual content' or 'copyright' into my scenario/livery descriptions. This has partly contributed to the lower subscriber numbers on CC, as it tends not to show 'reported' content on the website/in-game, just in case it gets removed entirely. I hope that it ends now and beginning with my TSW6 content, that things begin to improve.

    Rant over.

I just want my content to do well not only for my self-belief and self-pride, but for you all too as it is you (the players) who actually get to play my content. I don't want to see my content as a waste of time, and if my content doesn't get the outreach it deserves because it is constantly getting reported, is there any point in continuing?

I create this content for you, not me :). All I do is a) create it, b) test it, and c) release it. It's actually you who gets to enjoy it. I don't really play any of my released content unless it does really well on CC, as I want to know why it has done so well in the first place for future implementation into work .

Anyway, thanks all for reading this rather different post today. I really appreciate it :).

    TrainGeek08.
