Isle Of Man Steam Railway Network

Intro
For when steam releases presumably next year, this is a route I’d love to see. The lines run from Douglas to Port Erin, Peel and Ramsey. Set in the 1940s-50s, the network would be around 45 miles long which is plausible for TSW2.

Services
Services would include the passenger services between Douglas and Port Erin, Peel and Ramsey, including the splitting of trains at St John’s to head to Peel and Ramsey, and general goods trains.

Rolling Stock
The locos on the route would be the Beyer Peacock built 2-4-0s that were in service during the time period the route is set. Rolling stock would include ‘Small F’ coaches, ‘Large F’ coaches, ‘G’ closed vans and ‘H’ three plank wagons.

DLC
No. 15 ‘Caledonia’
This is the only non Beyer Peacock loco on the line, being built in 1885 by Dübs & Co. It was built to tackle the steep gradients of the Foxdale Railway. It was used on cattle trains from Ramsey by the Isle of Man Railway, so this DLC would include the ‘K’ Cattle Vans. It was also used on passenger services

 

Seems like an old suggestion but you could have suggested the whole rail transport in Isle of Man for TSW (except the horse one

 

Be better off suggesting Sodor at this point...which is based on the Isle of Man anyway
Probably the only "steam" you're going to see in the game in the near future will be from Thomas's crew.

 

I can’t see anymore steam locos being made by TSW. That ship has sailed. Thomas the tank is the new equivalent.

Aren't you impressed they scrolled back 12 pages to find the suggestion? That takes some dedication. They could have just created yet another duplicate thread. So give them credit for recycling/reusing. Save the environment!

With all the countless threads around the same topic, I was beginning to doubt its existence.

 

At least better than duplicating the suggestion.

 

This thread was long time buried, it should’ve stayed that way.
You could’ve made a new suggestion and added more content to improve it.
Not the end of the world I guess.

 

It's not about that what I wanted to say. It's more likely about it feels like you're taking away from someone which I don't like it

 

You do know that just because something's been suggested in one thread, 4 years ago, that it doesn't mean another suggestion can't be made on that same topic 4 years later. There's no rule saying you can only suggest something once.

But given your initial post didn't exactly add anything new (which would make resurrecting a 4-year-old thread acceptable), what was the point, really?

 

Not to mention unlikely due to the ongoing hiatus with steam traction and being a very niche prototype, unfortunately.

 

Well I have been thinking about suggesting the whole rail network in isle of man (excluding the horse one) for TSW but there has been one already suggesting even though it's less than of what I was thinking since it's a small island and the networks are small so why not all 3 of them at once?

 

Then by all means do please sell us on what a whole Isle of Man rail network would look like, why it would be a good release for TSW, the different locos, service patterns etc. - rather than telling someone 4 years after the fact what they could have done with their suggestion.
