Is it just me or is guard mode current broken with the class 87? It seems to get stuck on 'Make sure the doors are closed', on the Class 101 it does this but you can close the doors yourself and it carries on, but with the 87 even if you close all of the doors it won't recognise that they're closed.
The menus are seriously broken. 86 didn’t show up on the initial install, did after a reinstall, but then disappeared after I played the 37 freight service. Same randomly disappearing locos on other routes, and now routes are randomly disappearing too. It’s worse since the latest update, if anything
Try opening and closing a few doors again, I had a similar issue last night on arrival into EUS that it was telling be to lock the doors (driver mode) but they were all closed and locked. Fortunately since it was in driver mode I could just apply a smidge of power and crawl forward a foot tricking the game and bringing up the end screen. Since you are in guard mode, maybe it's a random door thing :/
Only problem is formation design as it labelled the mk3as as mk2fs so it conflicts with the 86 mk2f pack
Funnily enough I found a solution in the most random of places. Uncoupling the class 87 from the train and coupling it up again. For some reason that did it. No idea why. Further Experimentation seems to indicate that it only happens with the Mk3as, the Mk2s operate just fine but the Mk3as you have to uncouple and couple them up again when the train is ready to depart. Not sure if you have to do this at every station or just the starting station yet, that'll be the next thing I test. Further Further Experimentation, no you don't have to do this at the next station, just the one that you spawn out, and only if the Mk3a is attached to the Class 87, if there's a Mk 1 attached to the 87 (ie if you're London facing) then everything works as it should.
Can’t get the 87 moving past 7mph shut the doors brakes off reverser forward master key on back wall red lever on is there anything regarding vacuum or air brakes with the coaches like in WSR ?
The 87 is air brake only, the 86 is dual brake so you if you have that you could use it instead or (not sure if the game allows it) use it as a translator between the 87 and stock.
Did anyone find a way to get their Class 87 to show up again on PC/Steam? I've only just noticed it's missing.
I downloaded a Hst livery power car only, using the creators club for the black and white livery, then created a custom formation using that power car with the coaches of the same colours. Train won’t move as the brake pipe won’t go up.
I've downloaded a few Creators Club's liveries, LL 87's, LL86's and some mock 81, 84, 85's. I'm yet to see any sub in yet on timetable mode, just wondering if anyone else has had any appear if they downloaded CC reskins? I'm just wondering if JT set the 86's and 87's to be subbed by CC liveries!?!
The 140 was a singe prototype which interestingly has been preserved up in Scotland, far away from where Pacers operated. The 141 fleet was sponsored by WYPTE and operated largely within the area of West Yorkshire, though they did reach out across Yorkshire and did also work occasionally to Manchester and over the S&C. They would however be a very niche unit for a loco pack, they could be a great DLC addition to come with any future Iranian Railways route DLC though
Doing journey Mode for the route. Currently on 1M10, a sleeper service between Carlisle and Preston. You can never leave on time - 6M41 always takes priority despite it only just loading in on the map when 1M10 is supposed to depart. Why? Also, if you have Mark 1s and Mark 3s in a formation, both the guard whistle and guard buzzer sound when you lock the doors.
There's quite a few services where you load them and they spawn you on foot..if I remember rightly one of the stone scratcher tour parts. Part 3 which asks for run around at hardendale quarry spawned me on foot.
I have noticed that the performance on this route is not really pleasant. Its far below other TSW routes. Is JT already working on this problem?
Must be your specs, try lowering settings. I run 4k 60fps and have no issues whatsoever - Easily one of the best running routes in the game.
6P85, a freight run between Preston and Carnforth in the 47, ends at Carnforth platform 2 at 0543. 2E05, in the 101 which runs between Carnforth and Morecambe, leaves Carnforth platform 2 at 0550 Driving 6P85, you are guaranteed to always be around 10 minutes late.
That's odd. I haven't tried it specifically on this route, but on my RX9070, enabling AMFM gives me maybe 2-3 frames per second, with HUD trailing. In most cases, I don't see any increase in FPS.
