I like to invite you to rewatch the December roadmap stream go to 1:10.36 and listen to Matt say the blurry textures won't/can't take sevral months to fix and needs to be done ASAP.

Well we are now several months and are yet to see 1 fix to older routes.

As they say in todays roadmap since things seem pretty good with recent routes they are on the right track. Yet we get blurry textures on Stamford and MVL on Series X.

I have a feeling this will never be fixed and we are just being strung along now.

I'm curious how much in and around the stations will be walkable for Thames Valley branches. At Windsor you you basically walk into a shopping centre when hopping off the train before heading to the castle. Marlow and Henley are also quite picturesque.

I don't understand the Thames Branches at all tbh.
Surely they should just be added on to GWE? That would have been amazing imo! Pass for me unless i'm fundamentally misunderstanding something.

Tadami looks amazing hoping we see it in TSW6 but 7 seems more likely. Portugal route looking good too imo.

Cargo line 6 absolutely keep 'em coming

Midmay extension i'm very hyped for!

Class 90 will sub but will we have received an update for it by then? Totally absent on the roadmap guess uploading that correct build is more challenging than we'd expect lmao.

The stuff from HiS i'm gonna have to wait for player reviews. I want to believe but the Santa Fe pack was awful.

And some tiny crumbs that Stamford might get a tiny patch relatively soon. Maybe. Lol.

Perhaps never before have players been so eagerly awaiting the arrival of a pack that is typical for other packs as the Class 66. ;)

assuming that Johannes has done the work to create a 165 / convert it from a 166, hopefully a trailer car will be included, so that correctly modelled 3 car 165/1s will appear on GWE in place of the ‘renumbered’ 166s.

Hopefully the 165 will also be used to replaced the 166s used on Mildmay to represent the Chiltern services.

Maybe it's odd because no one did it before, but I quite like the idea of 3 branch lines in one pack. Branch lines can have such a charm and 3 in 1, even better.

Nice to see Thames Branches. Shame about the GWR not being represented between the three branches though. That would have made it more interesting for me. I'll probably wait until there's a sale personally though as a result.

Even release dates a few weeks before is already problematic with delays and bugs, so announcing them more early only gives them more reason to rush stuff to keep that date.

I see loading times are also mentioned. Is this for the game loading? I've no way of proving it, but it has taken 6 minutes and 44 seconds to load up TSW6 on my PS5. The DLCs I have are all the UK ones (except for the 90). This is frankly, appalling. Screenshot_20260505-191332.png

Never mind the rest of it. You had me at the Marlow branch :). I can now recreate my journey to and from work in a particularly happy time of my life in the 80s. Bourne End to Reading, changing to GWE at Maidenhead. Nice picture of Bourne End bridge BTW.

If we get sometime in the future another class 66 , it better be an expert one. I would like to see a fully functional EM2000 and a walkable engineroom

Windsor would be good. Unfortunately the town of Marlow is a bit of a walk from the station so it is unlikely this would feature. A shame as it has an iconic suspension bridge across the river. The best we could hope for is a pint at the Marlow Donkey pub opposite the station. :D

Changing the points at Bourne End will be interesting especially given that this is done by the guard in real life so could feature as part of guard mode.

I just scrolled past everything after seeing a brief glimpse of a class 165. Great. Another reskin. Nothing new. New locos please.

At least there are actual differences made for the class 165 that distinguish it from class 166, unlike the GBR class 802 that is literally just a reskin.

Edit: The autocorrect... just love it...

i’m aware of that, and whilst liam did a stunning job, unfortunately it’s another victim of the tsw core’s instability and the last thing we need is it infecting another route

Doesn’t stop an update being included on the roadmap IF indeed that is the case. And apparently it was just a wrong build released according to both parties so shouldn’t actually be anything to look at!!!

Still wanting the GP60M/B. I still want a BNSF GP60 Spartan Cab, as well as a UP version.
The German Gas Cargo Pack sounds really cool. We still need US Cargo Packs. See my great list for some cool US freight and passenger consist ideas. Here is the link: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/us-freight-dlc-packs-for-existing-routes.91052/
The German Steam Route is an exciting route. More steam locos and routes, especially US ones, should be added in the future.

I appreciate the response to my question on the Roadmap stream about Raildriver compatibility.

I welcome the reassurance that the application is still part of DTG's MO.

However, as it appears that 3P development is fast replacing home grown production, and that 3P's are not similarly committed to Raildriver, the future doesn't look very bright.

For me, at least, this means that my purchases of 3P products will be limited. Can't go back to keyboard and mouse to drive trains.

    Hip Hip Hurray.

DTG is taking its time. Well done. I personally feel this is great news. Some interesting new stuff coming and it’s being focused on not rushed.

My opinion is that DTG should slow down, focus on the work and keep updates to a bare minimum to save time and misinformation that could confuse the community. Ie when people say DTG make promises but never materialise.

Quality and communication, consistency across its products.
To slow down on release and make sure the above happens.
Id rather have a quality product than a rushed one.

And thinking of others then it’s less stress for those associated with development etc.
DTG and its 3rd parties. They needed to because 3rd parties and even one ambassador whose ego had been dented had to publicly defend.
Totally unacceptable behaviour and doesn’t reflect DTG in a good light.
    Their reputation and the narrative.

So for me it’s a good sign. A sign DTG has been listening and is ready to slow it down.
The small details make the difference and they are introducing all shorts of new features.

However I do feel there is more work to be done on the amount of back log on past content.
There isn’t much to clarify on.
Could it be they focus on the road maps, slowly slowly, yet working on TSW7.
Personally I feel they will push it back because TSW6 has such a strong roadmap going forward and it would do now harm to miss TSW7 for 2026.
TSW7 would fit nicely into 2027 days format. 2028 TSW8.

It would give DTG the time to pull its socks up, get there act together and knuckle down.

But I see there are grumblings again. Can’t please everyone I guess.
So if you do listen DTG would it be wise to push TSW7 back a year.
With the roadmap ahead it could make sense. It would be a same to miss the opportunity with such variety of destinations around the globe.

    Quality and Consistency.
It always pays off even when you’re on the knees.

    Get up and forge on.

    ✌.

Correction. DTG are looking at the wider situation.

So that too is good news.

I think it’s best to let them crack on and not keep them chatting then.

Would have been nice for the community to have the GBR DLC tho as compensation, and a free government hand out.
It is after all Tax payers money. And we the community have been waiting long enough for some issues to resolved.

But hey at least the community and customers are getting some answers now.

The question now is whether it’s too little to late for some people.
I’m sure the community will have its say.

    Crack on:)

    ✌.
